Maple Heights City Governance

The City of Maple Heights is comprised of many departments. The governance of the city is done through the the legislative body of the City Council and the office of the Mayor. The maintenance of the city is handled by the service department, economic development and finance departments. The care and safety of the city is handled by the office on aging, the police department and the fire department.

City Council

The Council is the governing body of the City and is responsible for the passage of legislation and operation of the City. Visit our City Council page for more information and to find your Council Member.

Building Department

Business Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. CLOSED Friday. LUNCH from 12:00pm – 1:00pm Monday-Thursday.

Finance Department

The Finance Department of the City of Maple Heights is located on the first floor of City Hall, 5353 Lee Road, Maple Heights, Ohio.  Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  The Finance Department is responsible for:

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Accurate accounting of all receipts and disbursements
  • Payroll, personnel and other human resources functions
  • Accurate accounting of all taxes and assessments
  • Review and approval of all purchase orders
  • Accurate accounting of all fixed assets
  • Investment of city funds
  • Debt management

Economic Development

This department is tasked with the retention and recruitment of businesses for the City. Economic Development researches and disperses information useful to business inside the City.
