10:26 AM Vehicle ran into the fence near the MHHS Stadium.

1:16Pm Dollar Tree (on Northfield) employee with bank deposits robbed at gun point.

1:25 PM Dollar General (on Northfield) manager’s wallet stolen from back office.

5:46 PM Dollar Tree reporting possible suspect in store now. Subject was not the suspect from earlier incident, however he was caught shoplifting.

Daytime Burglary: 5300 block of Thomas. Items stolen include: TVs, wallet.

2:20 PM Property owner requesting escort to property because she believes that someone is squatting in the house. Evidence of squatters found. Owner advised to change locks.

2:55 PM Two male juveniles were asked by occupants in a vehicle in the McDonalds’s (Warrensville Center) drive thru to pee in a cup for $5 while cutting through the parking lot on their way home from school.

7:53 PM Domestic Violence situation where the female (CPD Officer) was beating up and tried to run over her boyfriend with her vehicle near the Broadway entrance to the Maple Heights High School. (More Info)

10:33 AM ADT reporting front door alarm at a residence on the 5100 block of Camden. Answer at residence resulted in a resident being taken into custody for his outstanding warrant with University Heights.

5:38 PM 15400 block of Fernway. Caller reporting suspicious activity around her house following a raid at a neighboring house by the US Marshalls a few weeks prior. Caller reported two windows of her home being broken and footsteps near her daughter’s bedroom window.

Daytime Burglary. 18100 block of Edinboro. 2 TVs stolen.

2:23 AM Vehicle pursuit 50-80 MPH starting at Raymond & Charles Street South, West on Friend, North on Broadway. Male occupant fled vehicle at Broadway & McCracken, north on Broadway. Suspect in custody near the BMV. A firearm was recovered.

4:11 PM Building Inspector requested assistance entering a house with running water. Abandoned dog was found in the house. 5200 block of Clement.

Daytime Burglary. 18300 block of Edinoboro.

3:45 PM Front window broken by a female throwing a rake through the window (children were playing near the window but were not hurt). Male was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant with Cleveland Heights, but was able to identify the home of the vandal.

4:27 PM Caller reporting people removing items from vacant home. The males work for the Cuyahoga County Land Bank (Property Owner) but one had and outstanding warrant and was turned over to Willoughby PD.

Thursday January 28, 2015

Midnight. Traffic stop on the 5200 block of Lee road of a vehicle with no license plate lights. Driver was cited for open container.

9:14 AM Neighbor of a vacant home on the 14900 block of James reporting running in a vacant house. Fire department shut off the water.

11:43 Report of urban mining at a vacant home on the 5000 block of Thomas.

1:59 PM A 183200 block of Maple Heights Blvd was also the victim of urban mining. Brother stopped by to check on sister’s home and found it broken into. Brother was held for Cleveland PD.

1:24 AM Caller from the 14100 block of Reddington observed to males by her auto. Males were located on Pease and E 141st. The males denied being on Reddington, but were turned over to Garfield PD on their outstanding warrants.

7:00 AM 16300 block of Libby. A 2012 White Honda Accord was stolen (with keys) from a parking lot. MHPD pursued the vehicle north on Lee at 70MPH. Pursuit terminated at Deforest.

3:18 PM Off-duty officer and GE security caught juvenile occupants smoking marijuana in the parking lot. Driver cited.

Noon: Maple Heights Fire Department Assists elderly South Blvd resident by changing the battery in her smoke detector!

1:31 PM Male stole a 6 Pack and tuna from Walgreens. He crossed Lee Road and headed towards Theodore. He was apprehended at a home on the 17600 block of Mapleboro and charged with petty theft.

2:38 PM Resident from the 15900 block of Morning Star reporting a BB hole in his front window.

Regular checks to Mayor home and City Hall for suspicious activities/packages/etc after threats were made to the Mayor.

5:07PM Vacant home on the 5100 block of Homewood avenue was observed by a MHPD officer to have running water. Water dept. advised.

7:15 PM Shoplifter arrested at Giant Eagle.

Daytime Burglary to a home on the 5400 block of Hollywood Ave. TV and Xbox missing. Entry made through rear window.

8:31 PM Male victim of domestic stabbing found on the 15400 Block of Woodbrook with blood all over hands and legs. Victim was stabbed by his boyfriend who was arrested. Children were taken by Grandmother.

10:40 PM Callers reporting water running in a nearby unit. Water for the whole building was shut off.
