Sunday, November 29, 2015

1:19am – Vehicle that was parked on Clare Ave. was vandalized while the complaintant was in Weave’s Lounge. There were no witnesses and no surveillance in the area.
2:22am – Unknown parties were fighting inside the Mapleleaf Bar on Broadway Ave.  As the security guard was attempting to lock the door, an unknown male pointed a firearm at him and left the establishment. The male left the area in a grayish vehicle. There was no surveillance of the incident.
10:49am – Shoplifter apprehended and arrested at the Home Depot on Libby Rd.

2:26pm – 35yo female complaintant reported her vehicle was stolen on Nov. 27th. and that she was too intoxicated the past two days to report it.  At 3:05pm the complantaint called back and stated she found her vehicle.

10:14pm – Report of flashlights in a vacant home on Mapleboro Ave. A bookbag full of copper was found inside and the responding officer located the vehicle on Thomas St. along with the suspect. The 20yo was arrested and charged with burglary and breaking/entering.

12:17am – Report from Philip St. of 2 armed burglars who kicked in the caller’s door.  Left in unknown direction, neighborhood was canvassed with negative results.
7:26pm – Report from several callers of a person hit by a car on Libby Rd.  Subject got into an argument with his wife, walked into Libby Rd., and jumped onto a passing vehicle. The subject sustained minor injuries and was transported to Bedford ER.  Subject was voluntarily intoxicated and was cited for disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

1:29am – Complaintant reported the theft of two 9mm handguns from the trunk of her car while at a gas pump on Warrensville Center Road.
1:46am – Two 19yo male suspects and one 18yo male suspect were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property on Library Lane.  Items confiscated were one Smith and Wesson 9mm gun, Sony tablet, Garmin Navigator, Canon digital camera, and a Honda Key FOB.
2pm – Report of 3 black males, one of which had a gun, walking on Mapleboro Ave. towards South Blvd. One suspect fired the gun when the caller saw him walking on Mapleboro Ave.  An additional call was received from Beechwood Ave. of gunshots heard.  Shell casing was found in front of the Mapleboro home and the Beechwood Ave. home was hit with a bullet. No suspects at this time.

Thursday, December 3, 2015

9:32am – Complaintant from Northwood Ave. reported items stolen (work laptop and laptop bag) from his UNLOCKED car. There were no signs of forced entry and no fingerprints were able to be located.
11:50am – Maple Hts. Blvd. property owner reported a burglary to his vacant residence. Sometime last week someone broke the back window and a black glove was left behind.

Friday, December 4, 2015

12:47pm – Maple Hts. police notified of Receiving Stolen Property Felony involving $15,010.00 of stolen jewelry taken in connection to a burglary in Macedonia.
9:07pm – 10-12 gunshots reported on Homewood Ave.  Second caller from Homewood Ave. reported hearing 8 rounds.  Caller from Camden/Gardenview saw a male fire the rounds and walk behind the houses into the backyards in the area.  A rental car used by the suspect was towed to the police department and a possible suspect was identified.

10:54am – 13yo being unruly and disrespectful about getting up and going to a Dr.’s appnt.
9:15pm – Female reported that her 16yo son would not go to bed.

Bah Humbug!
9:12pm – Report from Maple Ave. residence that all the Christmas lights outside have been damaged.  A lighted deer was also thrown into the street.
