1:38 AM  A speeding vehicle on Libby blew a red light at Warrensville and failed to use turn signal. The driver was stopped on Mountville. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and was not wearing a seatbelt.


Monday, November 9, 2015

2:48 AM Officer in pursuit of stolen vehicle (vehicle was reported stolen from within Maple Heights). The vehicle was pursued into Cleveland before pursuit was ended. Cleveland PD reported the next morning that they had recovered the vehicle.

4:09 AM Officer reporting a vehicle in violation of the 4-6AM parking ban. The vehicle had expired plates and was towed.

4:44 AM Security Company reporting alarm showing motion at a Southgate USA Park Store. Building checked secure. Running water could be heard at the backdoor. 8:23 AM manager arrived and reported that items are out of place and merchandise was stolen. The manager believes that entry was made through the roof. There was standing water around the breaker box.

10:28 AM 7 casings found in a shared parking lot on the west side of Warrensville Center near Clare Avenue.. Over the weekend there had were two calls reporting shots fired in the Clare Avenue area.

12:46 PM Cleveland reporting they found a vehicle stolen out of Maple Heights; the vehicles plates remain missing. 3 arrests were made.

4:37 PM Subway in Southgate USA was robbed at gunpoint. Suspect, black male wearing black clothes, full sleeve jacket, cap & glasses, left heading south on Northfield.

10:59 PM Accident: Vehicle flipped in the middle of Kenyon Drive. Drive was intoxicated. Driver got out of vehicle without help.

11:00 AM Request to help elderly male stuck in the bathtub. Hey, it happened to President Taft, too.

12:49 PM Officer ran plates of vehicle traveling in front of him and the plates came back to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated. The driver gave several false identities before being arrested for falsification. When rightly identified he had outstanding warrants and his license was suspended. The vehicle had the wrong plates because the owner had placed old plates on a “new” car after a temporary tag had already been issued. The vehicle had been dropped off at the drivers place of work for repairs, but the driver did not have permission to drive the vehicle.

6:04 PM Accident with injuries at Friend and Charles. One driver was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.

5:20 AM Officer found a vehicle stolen out of Cleveland in violation of the 4-6 AM Parking Ban on Benhoff.

7:36 AM Accident on Maple Heights Blvd. Car ran into tree (2 vehicles involved). One party’s leg was trapped and the driver of the second vehicle did not have a valid license.

10:04 AM Mother reporting that her son was bitten by a dog yesterday on the 5500 block of Dalewood.

2:29 PM Maple Beverages & Deli (Broadway & Greenhurst) was robbed at gunpoint. Police caught one of the suspects on Vine Street after the suspects fled their red Chevy on Libby road. The other, a 6’ black male with a thin mustache, was last seen hopping the fence at Great Western Juice in a white/teal striped shirt and blue hoodie.

3:21 PM Burglary to a home on the 14900 block of Reddington. Entry made through front door.

3:33 PM Motor vehicle accident on Broadway between a vehicle and a pedestrian. 30+ year old Pedestrian was transported by squad.

5:27 PM Domestic dispute on Gardenview. Boyfriend hit girlfriend with his vehicle. Female (who had outstanding warrants) was transported to hospital and male was arrested. Third party in the home was also advised of an outstanding warrant.

5:24 AM SWAT RAID at a home on the 15600 block of Steinway. 5 arrests and 5 weapons (including the assault rifle) seized.

9:58 AM Neighbor reporting that someone was in vacant home. Contractor was performing work on the residence, however he was in procession of marijuana and had an outstanding warrant.

7:19 PM Convenient on Dunham road was robbed at gunpoint by two black males. A third male was waiting in a two door red car which went down Corridon.

9:29 PM Burglary of a home on Mendota. Back door kicked in.


Friday, November 13, 2015 #FridayTheThirteenth

7:55 AM High School principal assaulted by student. Student charged with assault.

9:41 AM Second report of assault at the high school. (Different) student taken into custody.

11:56 AM Maplepark Drive apartment owner reporting a burn spot inside a building. Surveillance shows 4 males from across the street entering the building and starting the fire which was put out by the tenant they had just visited.

6:32 PM Owner reporting she returned home and found someone had broken into her home through her bedroom window. Son admitted to taking the items and pawning them (for $70).

9:23 PM Report of auto theft. Owner following vehicle. The vehicle wasn’t being stolen, it was being reprocessed.
