The September 16, 2015 Council Meeting Agenda has the following legislation listed for discussion:
Citizens commented on the reduced property values and the sewers on Summit and Rochelle have grass growing in the grates.
The Finance Director provided Council with a sheet showing the cost savings of the new contracts.
- 2015-56 An ordinance authorizing the collective bargaining agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Auto Mechanics Local 1363 AFL-CIO. (rules were suspended and the legislation was passed on second reading 6-0 (Councilman Brownlee was excused)).
- 2015-57 An ordinance authorizing the collective bargaining agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 507. (rules were suspended and the legislation was passed on second reading 6-0)
2015-61 Ordinance Amending Chapter 698 of the Codified Ordinances to establish a fee ($55) for participation in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Diversion Program. (rules were suspended and the legislation was passed on second reading 6-0)
2015-62 Resolution proclaiming October National Disability Month (rules were suspended and the resolution was passed on first reading).
Additionally, approval of Expenditures Over $1000 (the HR director provided an explanation for 2015-68 and 2015-69; passed 5-1) and minutes from the August 31, 2015 Work Session and September 2, 2015 Regular meeting were both passed 6-0.
The Senior Center Levy will be Issue 67 on the November 3, 2015 ballot.
Councilwoman Jones announced that 2016 HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) applications are now available. Eligibility is based on income in relation to household size. Click on the link above for additional information.
