SUNDAY, AUGUST 30, 2015

11:35 PM Gunshots or Fireworks reported in the area of the 5100 block of Clement and 5200 block of Thomas. One caller reported seeing a vehicle flee the area at a high rate of speed.

MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2015

4:18 AM Purse stolen from a vehicle on the 19000 block of Fairway.

5:58 AM Cleveland reporting finding a vehicle reported stolen out of Maple Heights.

7:22 AM 15 year old is punching and throwing things because he is angry that his mother doesn’t believe that he is sick enough to stay home from school. Juvenile was transported to school by officer.

11:53 AM Accident with injuries at the Prime Station on Granger between a Pepsi truck and a car.

1:53 PM Report of UPS driver bitten by a dog on the 20600 block of Donnybrook that escaped from an unsecured fence.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2015

10:39 PM Off duty police officer (from another city) called reporting that he is in foot pursuit after a juvenile who has marijuana on his person. Our officers located the suspect and complainant near Rockside and Pennsylvania Avenue. The marijuana was located in the suspect’s backpack.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2015

3:06 AM 17200 block of McCracken

  • Resident reporting someone is trying to break into his neighbor’s car. He also reported the theft of a gun from his own vehicle last night.
  • Neighbor called reporting theft of the owner’s manual from an unlocked 2011 Kia.

3:24 AM Cleveland Police reporting they found a vehicle yesterday reported stolen from Maple Heights.

4:03 AM Son reporting that someone attempted to break into his mother’s home on the 5200 block of Arch last night. Mother scared the intruder off, but not before the screen had been torn and pushed up. Mother didn’t want to “bother” the police by reporting incident. Advised to call in the future.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2015

2:30 AM Officers began foot pursuit of suspect who was involved in an altercation at the MapleLeaf. Officers pursued suspect behind Hungarian Club, back to Libby, past Walgreens, to Friend and back towards Broadway. 2.5 hours later police received a call from the 5100 block of Stanley reporting a male at his window who stated he’d been robbed. Male was arrested.

10:00 AM Report from the 20600 block of Mountville Drive of a suspicious male who came to her door and asked for someone who did not live there. Now he is at the neighbor’s residence. Police officer located mail and he was positively identified by resident.

3:37 PM Report of a vacant home being broken into on Otis Pl. Door window was broken and there was blood on the door.

10:06 PM Complainant reported leaving a red mountain bike unsecured while he went into the Prime Station on Granger. While he was inside someone rode up on a blue huffy mountain bike with a flat back tire and stole the complainant’s bike leaving the broken one behind. The huffy was taken to Police Station and entered as found property.

10:22 PM Reports of gunshots from the 17600 blocks of Maple Heights Blvd and the 17600 and 18100 blocks of Mapleboro reported hearing gunshots. 10 minutes later officers on scene heard additional gunshots to the south. A bullet hole was located on a home on the 18100 block of Mapleboro where 3 parties stated that someone was shooting at them. (This was the same intersection that a juvenile was shot last week after school).

10:37 PM Male approached an officer near Libby and Broadway and reported that he was robbed at gunpoint by two black males in red grand prix headed eastbound on Libby towards Broadway. Complainant was taken into custody for his own warrant. Vehicle was located and suspects positively identified.
