Unofficial Results of the Maple Heights Mayoral Primary

Official results have Brownlee and Blackwell advancing to the November 3rd General Election.

Yesterday’s Mayoral Primary has Annette Blackwell in November’s Primary, but residents are awaiting official results to see if Bill Brownlee or Neomia Mitchell will secure the second spot on the November ballot. Brownlee had 5 more votes than Mitchell, but there maybe some absentee and provisional to be counted which could flip-flop Brownlee and Mitchell positions. Grossmyer, finished 20 votes behind Mitchell. Rives finished last.

Unofficial results can be viewed here on the Board of Elections (BOE) Website. They allowed 10 days for absentees postmarked before Election Day to arrive (click on “post election absentee returns by city” on the BOE’s website). They also verify the 38 provisional ballots and count those that are valid. Official results will be announced September 24, 2015. Additionally, there could be an automatic recount to verify who secures the second spot on the November Ballot.
