1:59 AM Resident from the 14500 block of Corridon reported at least 5 skunks outside. Animal Warden advised.

3:01 AM Alarm at City Hall.

4:37 PM Black mountain bike stolen from outside McDonalds.

9:13 PM Mutual Aid requested by Garfield Heights Police for crowd control at the rear of St. Monica’s Carnival.

10:53 PM Male jumped on Libby Road Bridge. Reported by passerby and victim.

11:34 PM Milo Ave resident reporting neighbor yelling at her house for unknown reason. A squad was needed for a male who had passed out from blood loss due to a deep cut from punching victim’s car window out.

2:46 AM Brown Honda Civic reported stolen from a home on the 17100 block of Maple Heights Blvd in the past 3 hours. Front bumper held on by bungee cord.

7:15 AM Alarm at City Hall. Accidental by Legal Secretary.

7:37 AM Complainant’s worked vehicle that was parked behind King and Queens was stolen. The vehicle had GPS and was tracked to a Warrensville Heights address where the vehicle was found with someone sleeping in the back. A stolen gun was also retrieved.

10:52 & 11:27 Loss prevention at Home Depot reported shoplifting. One suspect tried to steal 2 air conditioning units, valued at $358, and the second was caught stealing DeWalt tools and mulch valued at $405.

11:51 Report of a deer hit on the 17300 block of Libby Road. Dead upon officers arrival.

7:45 Garage Fire on the 14000 block of James Ave. Contained to garage structure.

1:00 PM Report of theft from UNLOCKED auto between 3AM and 7AM on the 16200 block of Raymond.

4:51PM Resident from the 20700 block of Raymond reporting solar lights were removed and strewn about the yard.

6:08 PM Officer observed a driver lose control and run over a stop sign at Clement and Mapleboro. Vehicle fled the scene and neighbors, fluid trail and tire tracks in the grass directed officer to a residence where the driver had pulled the vehicle behind the garage. Upon officers arrival he observed driver throwing a bag of marijuana over the fence. Driver was arrested and charged with hit-skip, driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

12:04 AM Alarm going off at City Hall in the Secretary, Human Resources & Finance Office.

6:12 AM Overnight a vehicle on the 16200 block of Maple Heights Blvd had the front window busted out and $30 worth of loose change stolen.

11:38 AM  $375 worth of stereo equipment was stolen from vehicle on the 16600 block of Anthony Street between 2AM and 10AM.

7:05 PM Juveniles ditched a green Jeep at the intersection of Raymond and Clement and fled towards Libby. Ignition was punched and rear window broken. 3 arrested juveniles and 1 arrested adult. K9 brought out to look for possible gun. A ladder was also requested to search rooftops for gun.

7:45 PM Complainant (intended recipient of package) reporting theft of a package delivered by UPS to a 5600 block of Thomas residence. Driver reported male came and took the package right after he left it at residence.

5:41 AM Jefferson Rd resident reported that two black males armed with guns broke into the house, put guns to the occupants heads, robbed them and ordered them to the basement.

4:35 PM Resident found a bike on the side of their Watercrest Avenue home. Found one last week, too. Blue Next Bike placed into evidence.

7:50 PM 12 year old struck by vehicle on the 5300 block of Oakwood, but not injured. Driver was concerned about damage to his vehicle.

10:19 PM Vehicle Alarm Company reported a vehicle stolen out of Shaker Heights was at an address on the 18800 block of Waterbury.   Vehicle was  recovered and towed, but plates were missing and subsequently entered as stolen. Resident doesn’t know anything about the vehicle being in the driveway.

5:13 AM Cleveland Plain Dealer delivery driver found 4 purses on the tree lawn on the 14700 block of Brunswick Avenue.  2 returned to owners, both purses had been stolen from vehicles. One on the 14400 block of Tabor Ave had a broken passenger window and the second on the 15400 block of Edgewood had been rummaged through (unlocked).

6:49 AM 5000 block of Erwin complainant’s vehicle had the driver’s side window smashed and her purse was stolen. Complainant’s debit card had been used at a gas station on Lee/Harvard and some items stolen from purse were recovered.

2:02 PM A white Mongoose bike with orange writing was stolen from the Fifth Third bank on Libby and Lee while the owner was inside. Bike has front and rear light and keypad lock.

4:26 PM Complainant from Rockside Road business reported 3 juveniles damaging coworker’s windshields. 1 broken front windshield, 1 damaged rear fender.

4:49 PM Theft of a bike from the Maple Heights Library. Bike was locked up. Red/Silver Firestorm Rhino

11:38 Complainant reporting the suspect who robbed him at gunpoint of his vehicle on July 12 is now at B&M BBQ.

7:38 AM Landlord of a building on the 5300 block of Warrensville Center reported blood inside his building. Officers followed the blood trail to an office which was locked. The landlord unlocked the office and a person was found asleep on the couch with a cut hand, due to a climbing through the window after locking himself out of the office.

8:51 AM During routine patrol of Stafford Park, officer reported pursuit of parties in the woods. 3 taken into custody (one on Oakwood, one on Hollywood) for multiple outstanding warrants for different jurisdictions. Suspects all had the same last name and were born in ’68, ‘87 and ’88.

10:34 Complainant reported her purse stolen from inside her vehicle while it was parked at a home on the 15500 Block of Glenwood Ave. Upon realizing her purse was missing she returned and found her empty purse lying on the street in front of the house.

10:44 AM Minivan and SUV accident at Greenhurst Drive and Broadway Ave with injuries. 4 squads were needed to transport those with injuries.

2:24 PM Juveniles found trespassing on vacant property on Northwood. Home was unsecure. 4 bikes were found inside, transported to station and entered into found property. Officers caught two juveniles, one on Northwood and the second on Greendale. One was charged with resisting arrest.

4:58AM, 6:13AM, 7:24 AM Reports of 3 vehicles and one shed on 20700 block of Bowling Green rummaged through. Nothing taken.
6:34 AM 3 vehicles on the 5400 block of Sunnyslope had broken windows. Nothing taken.

8:05 PM Resident from the 14500 block of Krems reporting a stolen black and white Mongoose bike. Bike was last seen on August 1, 2015 at 1PM and was in resident’s garage.

4:51 PM Brother observed a vehicle, at Eastwood & Edgewood, similar to his sister which was stolen out of a Cleveland a few weeks. It was his sister’s car.
