Two Seats up for Election on Maple Heights Board of Education

Residents interested in running for Maple School’s Board of Education must turn in petitions with a minimum of 75 valid signatures by August 5th.

There are two open seats on the Maple Heights Board of Education which will be contested on November 3rd, 2015. Both incumbents, Dale Walter and Michael White, whose terms are expiring are seeking re-election and have turned in petitions with enough valid signatures. The term is for 4 years.

 Residency requirements for Maple Schools Board of Education Candidates

Under State law, a board member must be an elector residing in the District.  To qualify as an elector, a person must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, a resident of the state for at least 30 days prior to the election and a resident of the county and precinct in which he/she offers to vote for at least 30 days prior to the election.
