10:20am – Call from Glenwood Ave. that someone threw a rock through a bedroom window in back of house. A semi-automatic pistol with ammunition was taken.

Why not just install a sauna?
4:14pm – A fire alarm call was received from Lee Rd.  Alarm that was set off by shower steam.
6:25pm – Steam from shower set off fire alarm. Same location as previous call.

10:47am – Sometime between Sat. 7/4 and today, someone stole 8 or 9 packages from a FedEx vehicle on Maplepark Dr. There were no signs of entry and the doors may have been left UNLOCKED. The complainant will try to get a list of the items taken and will contact an officer when and if he gets them.

11:12am – Call from E. 141st St where someone rummaged through the complainant’s UNLOCKED vehicle overnight. They did not take anything.

1:00pm – Ashley Furniture Home Store on Rockside Rd. reported vandalism of two vehicles. Someone threw a rock through the back windshield of the vehicles.

7:35pm – Call from Maple Hts Automotive Parts on Warrensville Center Rd. reporting criminal damage auto/window broken in the complainant’s 2001 Ford Ranger which was parked in the back. Ten minutes prior to contacting the police, someone threw rocks at the truck breaking the rear window, as well as damaging the metal near the rear window. There are no witnesses.

8:39pm – Complainant states while he was playing baseball someone stole his Jeep from the Stafford parking lot near Mayville Ave.

4:51am – Complainant from Mapleboro Ave. stated 2 black males were on her porch attempting to break into the house. She yelled at them and they ran off  in an unknown direction.  Subjects broke the outer door to the sun porch, but did not make entry into the main part of the residence. One of the black males had a beard, and both were wearing dark clothing. Officers checked the area but did not locate anyone.

5:59am – Attempted auto theft overnight on Clement St. ignition punched but was not stolen.

7:44am – Items stolen from a vehicle on Northwood Ave. Work vehicle was parked in the driveway last night and upon returning to the truck today, the complainant noticed two (2) Touchstone Telephony Internet Modems missing. The complainant explained that these are for AT&T home internet and are useless without contacting AT&T.

12:32pm – Report from Krems Ave. of a theft of a cell phone from auto.  Complaintant stated he noticed his IPhone 5 (Approximate Value $600) was missing along with some change. The complainant stated that he did observe two young males the night before walking around and thought that this was suspicious but did not call the police.

1:22pm – Report from Donnybrook Rd. where a vehicle was left UNLOCKED and a military id was taken.

6:55pm – 5-6 JUVENILES THROWING ROCKS in the area, caller was in the parking lot of dollar bank on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. , juveniles were across the street but are now gone and unable to locate.

7:52pm – Caller from Dalewood Ave. reported a black male on a purple bike possibly carrying a gun in his waistband. Caller reported the male looked to be about 17 or 18 and was last seen heading west down Dalewood. Officers located the subject at Maple Hts. Blvd and Thomas St. The 14yo male JUVENILE was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

10:18am – Squad requested for a 20 year old male on Donnybrook Rd. Subject is out of breath running from officers in a shoplifting incident.

7:12pm – Complainant from Philip St. observed two males take a package off of his steps. The complaintant confronted the males who then dropped the package and fled. Off duty Officer on Philip St. chased 3 male juveniles. No suspects were located.

7:21pm – Complaintant from Camden Rd. reported his vehicle was taken without keys, possibly UNLOCKED, no glass around.

9:57pm – Reports from Thomas St., Philip St. and Clement St. of several gunshots heard. Unable to locate the source of the disturbance.

Animal Complaints
9:04am – Brunswick Ave. – loose dog – animal warden will follow up.
9:14am – Longwood Ave. – dog running around the area – animal warden will follow up.
9:20am – Cato St. – Doberman running at large – animal warden will follow up.
2:24pm – Clement St. – Dogs barking – animal warden was advised
3:26pm – Stockton Ave. – pitbull trapped neighbors in garage – animal warden was advised.

3:12pm – Female reported that her boyfriend was shot in the leg on Jackson Blvd./Dalewood Ave. Suspect was a black male with a beard, 17-18 yrs old armed with a semi-automatic gun. Female also reported the shooter in the woods and hearing 6-8 shots fired. Bedford and Bedford Hts. offered mutual aid, Cleveland Metroparks supplied 2 K9’s. Search was called off at 6:33pm. 5 calls were held because of this incident as most officers were involved.
