Come out and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Maple Heights with the Maple Heights Historical Society at the Little Red Schoolhouse on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from Noon to 5PM. (The Little Red School House is located at the corner of Rockside and Dunham.)
The “time capsule” that was buried at the 50th Anniversary celebration will be unearthed at 3PM. Rumor has it that no one has an official record what was put in the time capsule 50 years ago. A new time capsule will be buried at 4:30 PM. There will also be:
- Flag raising and opening ceremony at Noon by the American Legion
- live entertainment,
- Magic Show at 2:30
- speeches (1PM) and
- Speakers include (but are not limited to): local historians, maple alumni, beloved teachers, current city and school officials and a former Mayor.
- free tours of the Little Red School House Museum.
The Maple Heights Historical Society is on Facebook and has been doing #TBT and #ScrapbookSaturday posts as they gear up for this event.
