April 2nd House Fire Claims Life of Maple Heights Resident

UPDATED

On April 2, 2015, around 8p.m., Maple Heights Police and Fire Departments responded to a house fire at 14921 James Avenue in Maple Heights. There were reports that a male was trapped inside the house. The Fire Department was able to quickly gain control of the fire. Unfortunately, there was a 54 58 year old male, Jeffrey James Szabo, found deceased in the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Maple Heights Police and Fire Departments in conjunction with the State Fire Marshall. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death of Mr. Szabo.
