Sunday, March 1, 2015

3:45am – Report of a possibly intoxicated driver 480 eastbound in the area of Lee Rd. entrance ramp.  Subject was gone and unable to locate.

5:21am – Traffic stop on Donnybrook Rd./Sunnyslope Rd. resulted in the arrest of 33yo male subject who was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired.

10:01am – Report from James Ave. of theft from two vehicles.  Change was taken from one and an ipad2 was missing from the other.

8:08pm – Traffic stop on Libby Rd./Maple Ave. where the 20yo male driver was cited for driving under suspension.

10:14pm – Several calls reported a fight in the parking lot of McDonalds on Broadway Ave.  Two adults, a 29yo and a 27yo, were arrested and charged with domestic violence.  Four children (age: 4, 5, 7 & 8) and an older adult were also present.

It’s that time of year again.

9:14am – Complaintant from Longview Ave. on station to report IDENTITY THEFT.  The complainant attempted to file her taxes was advised by her accountant that a tax return was already filled. She notified the IRS and was advised to make a police report so the IRS can start their investigation.

10:26am – Male from Joseph St. reported FRAUD and stated he recieved a letter with a check in the amount of $6,449.80 from AGC Flat Glass North America Inc. The letter was from Multi-State Lottery Association and stated he had just won $2.5M and needed to call 587-717-8554, a number in Alberta, Canada to start his claim. He was informed to cash the check and send them six – $1,000 money orders and one – $200.00 money order. The male did so and sent the money orders to an address in Georgia. The check was not a good check and his bank informed him he needed to report this to his local police so they can investigate the trail of the check.

11:05am – Female complaintant on station to report IDENTITY THEFT.  The complainant stated that from 2007 to 2013 an unknown person used her information to open multiple accounts in Virginia. The complainant was advised to make a police report.

3:44pm –  Alarmforce reported an alarm at a McCracken residence, which is vacant, showing hall motion.  There was forced entry to the front door but the property checks ok.  Friends of the owner arrived on scene will attempt to contact the owner and notify him about the house.  They also took a half-grown pitbull from the basement. The dog looks like he had been there for about 4 days. Message was left for the animal warden. The house was resecured.  Owner will be cited for Neglect of animals.

6:51pm – 82yo female complainant arrived at the police station with her 5yo foster child because he is being unruly, had a temper tantrum, took off his seatbelt and was refusing to keep the seatbelt fastened.  Complainant left her 2yo foster child in the vehicle alone in the parking lot to come in the station to speak with an Officer.  The juvenile was placed back in his car seat and the complainant was sent on her way.

8:28pm – 33yo complainant on station reporting she is being harassed at her Waterbury Ave. residence by a 37yo subject who contacted the complaintant and told her that her boyfriend is bad. The complaintant does not want the subject to contact her anymore. Officer spoke to the subject over the telephone and advised her not to contact the complaintant anymore. Both parties agreed and are satisfied.

11:52am –  Complaintant from Maple Hts. Blvd. reported somebody cut one passenger side tire on her vehicle and the two passenger side tires on her husband’s vehicle. She spoke with neighbors and nobody saw anyone near her vehicle overnight.

4:00pm – Female reporting her daughter was getting off the school bus at Clement St./Raymond St. walking southbound when a bald black male in a grey vehicle w/tinted windows driving northbound, stopped his vehicle and chased after the female. The male stopped running after the juvenile when other people in the neighborhood came outside.  The male then got into his vehicle and left the area going towards Libby Rd.

8:19pm – Complainant from Fairway Ave. reported 3 of the tires on her vehicle were slashed while parked in the driveway sometime last night.

4:31pm – Aux officer, working security at Giant Eagle on Warrensville Ctr. Rd., reported he is out with a subject who has fallen. Upon officers arrival, the 53yo subject was found to be highly intoxicated, smelled like alcohol, had slurred speech and could not stand under his own power. He was also yelling, swearing and causing a disturbance outside of the main door. The subject was brought to the station, arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Subject was transported to Marymount Hospital because he was complaining of knee pain and stated that he was hearing voices.

A Quad-fecta!

11:59pm – Officer conducted a traffic stop on Theodore St/Raymond St.  Upon speaking to the 17yo driver, she stated that she had a temporary permit, and her 18yo passenger did not have a drivers license. The passenger was also not wearing a safety belt.  The driver was issued a citation into Cuyahoga Juvenile Court for #1 – failure to use a turn signal, and #2 – operating a vehicle with a temporary permit without a licensed driver, and the passenger was issued a citation for #3 – failure to wear a safety belt.  The driver was informed that the vehicle was going to be impounded, and was asked if there was any contraband inside the vehicle.  The passenger stated that he had a open bottle of Brandy Liquor and was placed under arrest for #4 – underage alcohol possession.

3:45pm – Officer reported there is an 8yo child standing on the corner of Raymond St./Erwin St. with a suitcase who said she ran away.  The subject was transported home and it was discovered that while the mother was sleeping, the older sister was messing with the subject and as a result got upset and left.
