1:43am – A 27yr old female suspect and a 29yr old male suspect were arrested in the parking lot of Maple Leaf Tavern on Broadway Ave. and charged with DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
3:47am – Report received from B&M BBQ on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. of a male and female arguing inside the business. Upon officers arrival and while speaking with witnesses, and collecting statements, Dispatchers advised that one male suspect had a warrant out of Maple Heights Mayors Court for FAILURE TO APPEAR. He was arrested and cited for POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA. Another male subject was arrested and charged with DISORDERLY CONDUCT and FALSIFICATION. The female subject was transported to Bedford.
8:58am – Officers called out to a residence on Clare Ave. where a male subject accidentally locked his year and a half old grandson in his vehicle. Access was gained by breaking the drivers side rear window. Waiver was signed and verbal permission given over the phone.
1:45pm – During a traffic stop on Warrensville Ctr. Rd./Gardenview, a 27yr old male driver was found to have WARRANTS with Cuyahoga County Sheriffs Office, Parma and North Randall. He was placed under arrest.
5:17pm – Report a vehicle on Raymond St. that spun out of control and is now sitting in the front lawn with the driver still inside. Driver was arrested for OPERATING A VEHICLE WHILE IMPAIRED.
7:54pm – Report from Lee Rd./I480 of a male in a red Ford Ranger wearing a tan jacket who exited his vehicle and started SHOOTING at one of our plow drivers.

3:15am – Report received of a female passed out in a vehicle on Maple Ave. The 45yr old female driver was arrested and charged with OPERATING A VEHICLE WHILE IMPAIRED.
9:45am – Three vehicles were parked on Brunswick Ave. after SNOW BAN went into effect. All vehicles were ticketed and one was towed.

9:33am – Call received from Hollywood Ave. about a vehicle running for approximately 30 minutes in the driveway between residences. Exhaust fumes were entering the complainants residence and the exhaust was excessively loud. When officers arrived, the vehicle in question was partially on the street and had a flat front tire. Subject was issued a citation for disturbing the peace. The owner of the vehicle was notified that due to the SNOW BAN, and being a traffic hazard, the vehicle was going to be towed. The vehicle was found to have EXPIRED LICENSE PLATES and a citation was attached to the tow slip for the owner of the vehicle.
12:33pm – Caller from Clement St. reported a male chasing after a female down the street. Subjects were on the front porch of a house three doors away where the male grabbed the female who is now walking toward the street holding her face. Subjects were having an argument over their relationship when the female ran out of the house. Male subject denied hitting or threatening, and the female subject stated the same, although she did have a large red mark on her left eye. A waiver of prosecution was signed and the female was transported home.
1:00pm – 911 hang up call received from an Edinboro Ave. residence from the female subject mentioned above requesting a squad for a HEAD INJURY.
9:45pm – Complainant from Rockside Rd. called reporting her neighbor is arguing in the driveway between the houses, using profanity and making unreasonable noises, thus waking her juvenile daughter. Complainant wished to sign a complaint for disturbing the peace. City Law Department is involved and will be recommending mediation and declaring the neighbor a nuisance residence.

1:55pm – Caller from Maple Hts. Blvd. reported parking violators due to the SNOW BAN. Both vehicle owners were cited for snow ban parking.
2:44pm – Mr Richey from the High School on West Blvd. reported MARIJUANA found on a freshman student that was turned over to Police Department. The student was suspended for 10 days. Another incident reported on Thursday, Jan 22nd. where suspected marijuana cigarettes were collected from a sophomore. He also was suspended for 10 days. A third incident involving a folding blade KNIFE which was reported on Tuesday, Jan 13th. The weapon was collected from a freshman who was expelled and has withdrawn from the Maple Heights City Schools. The incidents have already been handled by the school.
3:00pm – Complainant from Shirley Ave. stated people who are picking up children at the school have been using her driveway to turn around. Complainant went outside to confront one of the drivers. The 35yr old female driver was rude to her and then drove across the complainants treelawn and hit her garbage cans when leaving. Officer located the vehicle on Walvern Blvd. and spoke with the owner who was advised of the complaint.
6:29pm – Officers reported that the canopy at Prime Station on Lee Rd. has fallen over onto the gas pumps and a vehicle. One person outside was hit by fallen debris. Fire department was dispatched. Power to the gas pumps were shut offs and power to the fuel line was shut off. The pumps were taped off and one vehicle was removed by Kelly’s towing.

7:39am – Complainant from Philip St. reported an incident on Erwin St. where a white van, unknown make or model, asked the complainants children if they needed some gloves. The children ran and did not see which direction the van went. The complainant wanted it documented so Officers can check the area.
9:38am – SNOW BAN towed vehicles on Thomas St./Libby Rd. and Clare Ave.. Vehicles were issued citations for the snow ban and were towed.
11:19am – Male from Industrial Ave. reported someone stole his vehicle from the parking lot at work. The complainant was cited for leaving the key in the vehicle and running unattended.
12:48pm – Complainant from Arch St. arrived on station to report that she received a call from an unknown male requesting bond money for her granddaughter. This issue is an ongoing SCAM, she was advised not to give any information or money to people over the phone or that she does not know. Call came from 403-689-8131.

9:30am – Traffic stop on Granger Rd./Beech Ave. Driver cited for FICTICIOUS LICENSE PLATE and DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION. Vehicle towed by Kellys. Driver and passenger transported to Hillgrove Ave.
10:40AM – Complainant from Hillgrove Ave. on station to report a THEFT FROM AUTO. Subject stated she parked her vehicle in her driveway yesterday at midnight and at 7:30am she noticed her laptop (valued at $500) and cell phone (valued at $100) were missing from her vehicle. Subject is unsure if she locked her vehicle or not (officer did not observe any damage or forced entry on the vehicle).
6:23pm – Report of a white Honda on Maplewood Ave./Glenwood Ave. occupied by 3 males. Officers were able to smell the strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and observed a mirror with marijuana residue sitting next to the rear passenger. A PROBABLE CAUSE SEARCH of the vehicle was conducted and an open bottle of wine, a marijuana grinder with residue, marijuana seeds, and marijuana roaches were found. All 3 males claimed responsibility for everything they were cited for.

7:58am – Officer initiated a traffic stop on Granger Rd./Libby Rd. for window tint (3 %) and could smell marijuana emitting from the vehicle. 4.1 grams of raw marijuana in a plastic bag in the subject’s left front pants pocket was found. The subject also had a warrant for his arrest for domestic violence and child endangering. A citation was issued for POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.
9:13pm – Female from Elmwood Ave.says she was in the process of moving out and the new tenants have already moved in – they are now arguing. Caller stated she told landlord she was moving out on Monday Feb 9th. She left residence this morning and came back and found new tenants already moved in. New tenants stated that they were told by landlord that the old tenants were moving out today. Both tenants state they have no other place to go. Both agreed to share residence until Monday and they will contact the building dept. and Tenant Assn on Monday. Settled for now.
