2:01am –  FIGHT in the parking lot of Southgate Lanes at Southgate USA.  Bedford & Bedford Heights PD were contacted for mutual aid.  20 yr old victim was assaulted by an unidentified party.  The subject refused to cooperate with officers, did not wish to pursue the matter and just wanted to go home. Officers transported the victim to Warrensville Ctr. Rd. & Harvard.

2:17am – ARGUMENT in the parking lot of Dollar Bank on Warrensville Ctr. Rd.  Everyone quickly broke up as officers approached and went on their way.

3:01am – Loud music coming from inside a residence on Mountville Dr. since 9pm.  Upon officers arrival they could hear music playing, but no one would answer the door.  Officers responded back to the residence a few days later and cited the resident for NOISE DISTURBANCE.

Police intervention not warranted.
2:48pm – Female on Elmwood Ave. requested officers because her 15yr old son was not doing everything she told him to do and is packing his stuff to leave the residence. He has her permission to leave and she does not want him to return because he does not listen to her and she does not want to have to put her hands on him.  Officers are not responding because there is no crime happening.

3:56pm – Security officer from Home Depot in Southgate reported a SHOPLIFTER in custody.  The 25yr old subject placed wire strippers valued at $26.27, DeWalt drill set valued at $59.97 and lightweight snips valued at $29.97 into his pants and attempting to leave the store. The subject was issued a citation for theft and advised of criminal trespass.

10:01am –  Female subject on Watson Rd. was SCAMMED by someone posing as the IRS.

10:23am – Male subject from Broadway Ave. stated that the door to his barbershop was wide open and all of his clippers have been STOLEN.  He was last there at 2pm yesterday.

12:07pm – Security from Home Depot in Southgate reported another SHOPLIFTER in custody.  43yr old female was arrested and charged with shoplifting and trespassing.

3:34pm – Security from Home Depot in Southgate reported yet another SHOPLIFTER in custody.  The 40yr old male subject, who has a warrant with Cleveland Hts. for shoplifting, was arrested for attempting to steal 3 smoke detectors totaling $119.

8:44am – Female from Maplewood Ct. arrived at the police station lobby to report that her neighbor took her garbage cans. The complainant did not see anyone take them, but she says her neighbor took the cans. Sometime last night, two more garbage cans went missing.  At 11:15pm, the complainant called dispatch again, stating that a trash can another neighbor gave her came up missing and her trash was all over the garage.

11:22am –  Female from Steinway Blvd. reported a phone call from the IRS stating she owed them money.  A male subject left a message from 866-792-2921.  The complainant was advised that this is a SCAM and did not call the number back.

3:20pm – Report of a potential fight from Mapleboro Ave./Thomas St. where six juveniles were arrested, five were charged with DISORDERLY CONDUCT and one was released without charges.

8:53pm – Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Raymond St. and Theodore St.  The 33yr. old driver reached into the back seat of the vehicle in an attempt to conceal something, he admitted to grabbing a 357ml bottle of Hennessy and hiding it. The male was cited for OPEN CONTAINER and a TRAFFIC CITATION for lanes of travel and signal before changing course was issued.

9:54pm – Officer conducted a traffic stop on Lee Rd. observed an open 357ml bottle of Hennessy in the back seat floorboard. The 21yr. old driver was cited for OPEN CONTAINER and a TRAFFIC CITATION was issued for no front plate and seatbelt.

6:24am – Squad responded to a call from Anthony St. from a 14yr. old juvenile who has a stomach ache.  He refused transport .  The juvenile just does not want to go to school today.

Friday, January 23, 2015

1:56am – Traffic stop conducted on Friend Ave./Lee Rd. for no rear plate illumination. The driver did not have a valid license and an open bottle of New Amsterdam Vodka (3/4 full) was located in the backseat. During the inventory of the vehicle an open bottle of Paul Masson Brandy was located in the passenger’s purse. The driver and the passenger were cited for OPEN CONTAINER.

6:09am – Report of a silver truck parked on the front lawn near the porch of a residence on Thomas St.  Officers made contact with owner who stated the vehicle got stuck while they were trying to move something.  Parties were advised to have the truck moved or be cited.

7:34am – Anonymous male reporting a white pick up truck parked on the front lawn of a residence on Thomas St. (same location as above report)  Vehicle was cited with PARKING VIOLATION.

Saturday, January 24, 2015

4:53pm – Traffic stop on Friend Ave./Broadway Ave.  While speaking with the parties in the vehicle, an odor of marijuana was detected.  The driver and passenger admitted the marijuana was theirs and were issued citations for POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA. The passenger was arrested for unpaid fines with Maple Hts.

5:56pm – Traffic stop on Broadway Ave./Orchard St.  The driver was cited for POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA and FAILURE TO USE SIGNALS before changing course.  Driver was tested and showed no impairment.

7:45pm – Traffic stop on Lee Rd./Kollin.  Passenger was cited for POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA and the driver was issued TRAFFIC CITATIONS/EXPIRED PLATES.

10:51pm – Subject parked his vehicle in front of his Waterbury Ave. residence and is now reporting it STOLEN.
