3:57am – Burglary reported on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. at O’Reilly Auto Parts.

9:57am – Female on Waterbury Ave. reported her grandson was running with a gun down Waterbury Ave. towards Thomas St.  Officers arrested the 19yr. old  male suspect and charged him with falsification (gave officers a false name).  He also has a warrant with Maple Hts. for contempt, attempted breaking and entering.

11:36am – Sometime between 5am and 11:36am, a vehicle on Theodore St. had the driver’s side rear window broken. There was nothing taken from the vehicle.

4:44pm –  Giant Eagle on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. reported they had a shoplifter in custody.  A 51yr. old male placed a steak and 6 cans of Icehouse beers (with a total value of $19.54) inside his coat and tried to walk out of the store. The subject was issued a citation for shoplifting and advised about trespassing.

4:51pm – Anonymous female on Broadway Ave. reported a male laying in the Central Motorcars parking lot.  Male is highly intoxicated and tripped over curb.  An ambulance arrived and transported subject to Marymount Hospital, officers followed and issued a  citation for disorderly conduct.

Monday, December 1, 2014

2:14am – Caller from Tokay Ave. reported  he hears someone tampering with his vehicle.  When the complaintant went outside no one was there.  The lock on the vehicles’ drivers side door had been punched and a pair of pants that were folded on the seat was on the floor board of the vehicle. There is nothing missing from the vehicle.

5:51am – Complaintant from Clement St. reported someone broke into his vehicle and then tried breaking into his residence.

6:12pm – Female from Kenton Ave. arrived home and found her house was broken into.

7:26pm – Complainant from Stockton Ave. just arrived home and found that someone had attempted to break into her residence.  Rear bedroom window had a screen that was pushed up, there was no entry made to the residence and nothing was taken.

8:05pm –  Delivery person for Papa Johns Pizza in Garfield Hts., reported that he was robbed at gun point while on a delivery to Gerard Ave.

9:38pm – Same Officer on a traffic stop again on Rockside RD./Dunham Rd. where a 29yr. old female driver was transported home on Maple Hts. Blvd. and issued citations for driving under suspension.  Vehicle was towed.

7:27am – Complainant from South Blvd. stated he parked his truck in his driveway on Dec. 1 at 5:30pm and at 7:15am on Dec. 2 he found that his trucks’ passenger side window was broken out. A bag containing misc. clothing, keys to a cement mixer and a work cell phone (unk. serial number) were missing.

9:21am – Complainant from Mapleboro Ave. parked her car in the driveway next door last saw it intact at about midnight.  The next morning she discovered that her rear driver side door window was broken and belongings from the trunk were on her lawn. The complainant stated the following items were missing from her vehicle: PTID 3600 Power Acoustic CD player, DX 5 Star speakers, a new Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtle figurine, and an I Love Lucy figurine. The complainant did not have any serial numbers for any of the items.

On the naughty list . . .

3:29pm – An employee of Convenient Food Mart on Dunham Rd. reported that someone took scratch off lottery tickets from the business and they have the person on video.

 On the nice list . . .

5:25pm – Caller from Grant Ave. requested a welfare check on his elderly female neighbor who he hasn’t seen for a couple of weeks.  Officers were at the residence a few days earlier and reported the neighbor is in the hospital.

10:39pm – Delivery driver for Marco’s Pizza in Bedford, reported he was making a delivery and was robbed by a black male approx. 6′ tall wearing a grey sweatshirt. The suspect took a 2 liter bottle of pop, money and a pizza bag containing food.  According to the caller, the phone call came from 216-609- 9289, and a male requested the delivery be made to 5858 Waterbury Ave. to a male named Trayvon and gave a call back number of 216-857-6723.  Complainant’s Manager called the number and it went to voicemail.

9:54am – Complainant at police station reporting he was robbed with a gun last night at Famous Gyro George on Northfield Rd.

Friday, December 5, 2014

2:21am – Female at Clare Ave. flagged officers down to report that the rear passenger window of her vehicle was broken. Stolen from the vehicle were a pair of women’s boots (value $85) and a purse. The purse was located in the woods on Clare Ave. and a Kindle (value $185) was taken out of the purse. Purse was returned to owner. (Two other cars were broken into that left the area.)

3:44am – Officer was called out to Warrensville Ctr. Rd. with a male passed out behind the wheel of a running truck that was in the drive position.  29yr old  driver was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence.  During the administrative inventory a burnt marijuana cigarette was located on the driver’s floor board area. Another was located in the jacket pocket the male was wearing.

Saturday, December 6, 2014

12:34am – Female on Stockton Ave. reported a black male wearing a black hoodie with jeans broke into her vehicle.  Officers located a juvenile at Maple Hts. Blvd./Libby loosely fitting the description. He stated he was coming from his friend’s house nearby and denied breaking into cars. Witness was unable to identify him as the person in her vehicle and stated nothing was taken. 17yr old juvenile was transported to his residence on Camden Rd.where his mother was cited for curfew.

1:25am – Officer was called out on a traffic stop on Lee Rd./I480.  Driver was suspended but showed driving privileges paper from the court. Driver was cited for open container.

11:16pm – Complainant is the manager of Dollar Tree at Southgate USA, and was just robbed while making the night deposit drop at US Bank. Two black males, both wearing black hooded sweatshirts attacked the complainant and took the deposit.  One male grabbed the complainant from behind and was choking him,  and the other told him he had a gun. Complainant never actually saw a gun, but the male did have his hand in his pocket.  Complainant returned to Dollar Tree and then called our department. Suspects left running North through the parking lot of Southgate USA.
