Rd. reporting 4 vehicles left abandoned in the street.~ 5pm – Occupied vehicle submerged in water on Gardenview Dr. ~ 5:06pm – Occupied vehicle submerged in water on Hillgrove Ave. ~ 5:10pm – Occupied vehicle submerged in water on Hollywood Ave./Maple Hts. Blvd. ~ 5:24pm – Report of a buzzing sound in a Gardenview Dr. basement due to flooding. ~ 5:25pm – Report of a buzzing sound in a Libby Rd. basement due to flooding. ~ 5:30pm – Report of the basement of Detention Center on Lee Rd. flooded. ~ 5:34pm – Motorist on Maple Hts. Blvd. stranded in her vehicle in the water. ~ 5:46pm – Report of a buzzing sound in a Waterbury Ave. basement due to flooding. ~ 5:51pm – Mountville Dr. basement flooded up to furnace and hot water tank. ~ 6:02pm – Donnybrook Rd. basement flooded, resident concerned about plugged in appliances. ~ 6:04pm – Another basement on Mountville Dr. flooded. ~ 6:15pm-6:35pm – 5 more Donnybrook Rd. basements flooded.

1:20am – While conducting a traffic stop on Friend Ave., the officer discovered that the subject was driving under suspension and had 99 grams of marijuana and a digital scale in his trunk. The subject was transported home and issued a citation for Drug Paraphernalia and Possession Of Marijuana.

1:33am – Officer on Adams Ave./Broadway Ave. intiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for high beams. During an inventory of the vehicle, the officer located three open containers in the front seat area. The driver was arrested for his warrants in Wood County, Fayette County and Bainbridge Township, and he was also cited for open container and driving under suspension. His female passenger, a juvenile, was tested for alcohol consumption and was cleared. She was then transported to Juvenile Intake for her probation violation warrant, and the mother of the juvenile was served with a Juvenile Court Summons.
3:44am – Caller from Bowling Green reported someone in the area was using a chainsaw. CEI had responded to an earlier report (1:30am) of a telephone pole that was leaning with wires hanging, and was using the chainsaw to cut up the telephone pole.
4:11am – Complaintant from the 19000 block of Fairway Ave. reported that between 1am & 9am, an unknown person(s) entered her UNLOCKED vehicle and removed the following items: One 15 inch Mac Book Pro, valued at $1,200.00. One pair Beats by Dre wireless headphones. One black book bag, valued at $30.00. Thirteen dollars in cash. There was no physical evidence found that could be collected or processed.

2:24am – Officer initiated a traffic stop on Raymond St./Lee Rd. and found 2.8 grams of raw marijuana in the vehicle’s center console. The driver, who has a warrant with Garfield Hts., was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence, was cited for possession of raw marijuana and for possesssion of Codeine Cough Medicine that was found in a mason jar.
5:48pm – Anonymous caller from the 21000 block of Gardenview Dr. reported seeing a male in a red shirt and blue jeans hide a TV in the bushes of another residence on Gardenview Dr. Officers located a Toshiba HD-TV and the suspect who took the TV from a Libby Rd. residence. The juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with burglary.

9:04am – Female reported that the Dollar One store on Dunham Rd. that should have opened at 8am is still locked and the lights are on. There was no answer at the business when Dispatch attempted to call and Engine 1 responded to gain entry. Entry was gained and it appears that no one showed up for work this morning.
11:07pm – Officers stopped a vehicle in the South Blvd./Libby Rd. area and locate a gun inside the car. The driver was arrested for improper transport of a firearm and cited for driving under suspension. The subject also has a warrant with Shaker Hts.

10:09am – Complainant from Schreiber Rd. stated that she found a 2 year old child walking around in her front yard. The child was able to identify his house, but no one answered the door. Upon knocking on the door several times, the investigator was able to locate someone asleep in the house. The mother of the child stated that she and the child had been asleep and he must have woke up and was able to open 3 sets of doors and a gate and walked out of the house. The mother was cited for child endangering and also provided information on how to better secure the doors.
2:01pm – ADT reported an alarm at a Home St. residence. Officers responded and discovered that the back window was broken and the back door was open. An unknown party went through the house, a TV was taken and was later located in the woods behind a Lafayette Rd. residence. Two firearms were taken and entered as stolen. Solon K9 responded for an article search, but had negative results.
10:04pm – Caller from Gardenview Dr. reported hearing several gunshots and fireworks in the area of Clare Ave. Officers located two males in front of a Gardenview Dr. residence where one suspect was advised of the complaint and he admitted to setting off fireworks. The fireworks were located in a vehicle parked in the driveway and consisted of the following: * 3 small brown circular fireworks with green wicks. * 12 Moon Travellers, (bottle rockets). * 1 Happy Face Rocket. * 1 Megabanger Garden In Spring. The suspect was cited for setting off fireworks in the City limits, and the fireworks were turned over to the bomb squad to be destroyed.
11:35pm – Complainant from a Maplepark Apt. on Maplepark Dr. reported that 2 males who live in the building next door, kicked in her neighbor’s apartment door. Several people were attempting to restrain the female that had her door kicked in and then one of the males came out of the apartment with a gun. The 2 suspects were arrested, one was charged with criminal damage and the other with inducing panic.

12:12am – In reference to the report above, the fire department was requested to assist in locating the gun on top of the garage. The loaded gun was located at 1:57pm on the apartment property and entered as evidence.
Officers were out with a domestic situation between mother and daughter in the parking lot of O’Reilly Auto Parts. on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. Verbal argument between mother and daughter because the mother wouldn’t buy the daughter an item from Radio Shack so she was throwing stuff out of the vehicle. Settled for now, mother left the area and is letting her daughter walk home.
