Today was bittersweet, the last day of the 2013- 2014 school year. I am now a senior. The thought of being a senior and enjoying the upperclassmen lifestyle is mind-blowing. This year we had a lot of fun, we continued old traditions, started new ones and enjoyed every minute of it. This summer is bound to be one full of fun. With college visits, vacations, internships, road trips with friends and even hit movies coming out this summer we should all be pretty occupied.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the class of 2014’s commencement. Although the rain prevented commencement from being held in the new football stadium. The atmosphere in side the high schools athletic center and the smiles on the graduates and their families faces were amazing. I’ve heard many comments from the graduates about how happy they are to be done with senior projects, college applications and HIGH SCHOOL. At the commencement everyone was informed that the scholarship money amounted to over 2.5 million dollars. Congrats to the class of 2014! There are many graduates that plan on going to the armed forces, and even more that plan on going to college this fall. I wish everyone good luck with all of your endeavors.
