June 1, 2014

4 vehicles were spray painted

10:02pm – Officer was on a traffic stop on Catherine St.  Driver was arrested for driving under suspension, operating a vehicle under the influence, assault of a correction officer and has a warrant with Garfield.

June 2, 2014

4 vehicles cited for parking on the sidewalk.

6:08pm – Officer was on Broadway/Libby with a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest of the driver who was charged with driving without an operators license.  During an inventory of the vehicle, a small baggie of marijuana was found.  The subject was also cited for possession of marijuana which was entered into evidence.  The vehicle was towed and the vehicle passenger was transported to the RTA station.

June 3, 2014

12:19am – Officer called out on a traffic stop on Rockside Rd.  Driver was arrested and charged with driving under suspension.  The subject also had warrants with Univerisity Hts and Macedonia.  Subject’s vehicle was towed.

1:09am – Officer called out on a traffic stop on Raymond St./Theodore St.  The vehicle owner  was not feeling well and allowed a friend to drive.  The “friend” was arrested and charged with driving under suspension and blood alchohol content.  The vehicle owner stated that her friend told her he had a valid license, it was determined that the vehicle owner was of sound mind and was not intoxicated and therefore the vehicle was released to her.

3:41am – Officer conducted a traffic stop on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. and asked the driver for consent to search the vehicle.  The driver agreed and upon searching the vehicle the officer located an open beer can where one of the passengers was sitting. He admitted that the open container was his and he was cited for the same. The officer also located a plastic bag with 11 smaller plastic bags inside. The 11 baggies were determined to be marijuana which totaled 6.7 grams. The same passenger admitted that the marijuana was his and was cited for the same.

8:35pm – Complaintant from Watson Rd. reported several people fighting in the street and throwing bottles.  Both sides accused each other of starting the fight and no one involved wished to prosecute anyone else involved.  A squad was requested for one subject with a broken arm.  Three subjects were cited for Disorderly Conduct and a report will be filed for charges against the juveniles involved.

June 4, 2014

9:39am – Caller from Broadway reported that his vehicle was broken into over night.  Caller stated that he dropped off his semi-truck for repair on May 25th and picked it up on June 4th.  During that time someone made entry into his UNLOCKED truck and stole his X-BOX 360 w/ 250GB HD, 100 X-BOX games, 180 dvd movies, a grey “salt life” baseball cap, a Zippo lighter with a grim reaper and black flame depicted on it, 3 black X-BOX 360 controllers, 1 white X-BOX 360 controller, approximately $25.00, and a single brown “Staples” shopping bag. The estimated the total value of all items missing is $6500.00.   A copy of the surveillance footage of the lot in which the truck was parked will be made available to police.

Was this police intervention necessary?

9:23pm – Verbal argument between brother and sister about food that was cooking in the oven. The male told the complainant to take the food out which then started a verbal argument between the parties because she said the food wasn’t done. Settled for now, parties are going to eat their dinner and stay away from each other for the evening.  

June 5, 2014

10:l6pm – Officer was conducting a traffic stop on Libby Rd. and discovered the subject was driving under suspension.  The owner, with a small child, was also in the car.   The driver was arrested and the vehicle owner was transported to their residence on Elmwood and advised to turn herself in on the next day for wrongful entrustment.

11:38pm – Caller made a report of loud arguing from the yard of a Jefferson Rd. residence.  On officers arrival they could hear the subject yelling loudly and using foul language. A citation for loud noise was issued.  Another individual was transported back to the station so she could sit in the lobby and wait for a ride. While in the lobby the female started acting disorderly and was arrested and taken into custody.

June 6, 2014

1:56pm – Caller from McCracken Rd. stated he observed a blue purse in the middle of his backyard.  This purse, which contained travel documents, was reported stolen at 4:20am from a residence not far from where it was found.  Officers inspected the purse which was found to contain all the important travel documents.  Contact was made with the property owner and she made arrangements with a family friend to pick the items up and overnight them to her.

June 7, 2014

3:12am – Officer conducted a traffic stop on Warrensville Ctr. Rd./Raymond St.  The passenger fled  on foot. Officers know who he is and but were unable to make contact with him at his residence. The vehicle smelled of raw and burnt marijuana and the officer located .2 grams of raw marijuana in the center console of the vehicle. The suspect also has a warrant with the city for failure to appear on possession of marijuana.

Obviously an animal lover!

2:50pm – Complainant from Maple Hts. Blvd. was at the station with a brown pitbull who was hit by a car but appeared to be ok. The dog has no identification on it and appeared emaciated. The complaintant wanted to be notified if no one claimed the animal.

10:57pm – Officer was called out to Granger Rd./Kohout St. regarding two people fighting.  The responding officer was on routine patrol and observed a male being held back and yelling at a female. The officer approached the male, placed him in an escort position and put him against a fence to try to calm him down.  The male continued to yell and act in a violent and turbulent manner.  The subject was intoxicated, slurring his speech and had glassy blood shot eyes.  The incident was only a heated verbal argument and no threats or acts of violence were committed. The subject finally calmed down and stated he wished to be transported to a friends house. He was also cited for Disorderly Conduct.
