May 18, 2014

3:04am – While officers were out on an earlier call on Maple Hts. Blvd. regarding gunshots heard, Officers observed four juveniles on Beechwood Ave. who took off running.  The four juveniles were arrested and turned over to their parents who were cited for curfew violation.

May 19, 2014

1:17am – Officer was called out to a vehicle on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. and arrested the owner of the vehicle for driving without an operators license.

Is this what our Police Officers should be dealing with?

4:25am – Female on Raymond St. reported her ex boyfriend pushed her and is refusing to leave the residence. She states the male pushed passed her to get up the steps. There was no violence.

5:12am – Male from the same Raymond St. address reported that the female would be contacting our department to say that he threatened her even though he did not.  Parties are having difficulty getting along, there were no threats made. Parties were also advised on the proper procedure for contacting the Police Dept.

6:37am – A third party called regarding a disturbance at the same Raymond St. address.  The officers believe the complaintant called because of the arguing earlier in the morning.

10:44pm – Complaintant from Clement St. reported 2 males wearing black hooded sweatshirts were in the complainants back yard. When he went outside, he then saw the males checking the door handles on his neighbors vehicle. Occurred 15 minutes prior to the complainant calling. Males last seen going toward Libby.  Subjects were gone upon officers arrival and were unable to locate.

May 20, 2014

12:26am – Complainant on Nitra Ave. reported a male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans was going driveway to driveway looking into cars. Suspect was gone upon officers arrival and unable to locate.

4:32pm – Resident on Cato St. reported several young males shooting a gun at a vacant house in the backyard. Description of two of the subjects was given to police.  One male was taken into custody at a residence on Arch St.  Four juveniles were arrested.  The gun in question was an airgun.

4:53pm – Caller from Fairway Ave. reported 2 black males from TruGreen and 2 black males from AT&T were in the neighborhood soliciting.  Officers located the subjects and sent them on their way.  The subjects will check w/their employers regarding acquiring a permit from the city.

May 21, 2014

2:15am – Officer conducted a traffic stop on Granger Rd./Beech Ave. for no rear plate illumination. Upon approaching, an odor of raw marijuana was coming from the vehicle and it was discovered that the driver did not have a driver license on his person.  The subject stated he did not have marijuana on him, but had smoked marijuana earlier in the night.  A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in a bag of marijuana, with total weight of 28 grams, was found under the driver’s seat.  The subject was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and a citation for no rear plate illumination and no driver license on person.

9:08pm –  Employee from Dollar General on Broadway reported 3 females came into the store with empty bags and now they are full. The only items he could see in the bags were hand towels. Officers responded and arrested the 3 females and charged them with shoplifting.  One of the subjects has warrants with Erie County, Cleveland Hts. and Highland Hts.  Their vehicle which was towed had Texas plates.

Don’t leave valuables in an unlocked car!

9:53pm – Conplaintant on Corridon Ave reported a theft from auto.  Complainant left her keys, wallet and cell phone in her vehicle while she went into her mother’s residence for 30 mins.-1hr. ,when she came out they were gone.

May 22, 2014

3:54am – Female caller from Raymond Ave. reported a vehicle parked in the driveway next door with the lights on and playing loud music for the last hour. When officers arrived, the parties were still sitting in the vehicle and the music was excessive. The female was issued a citation for loud music from vehicle and they were advised to go inside.

7:04am – Vehicles on Krems Ave. were broken into overnight.  The vehicles were left UNLOCKED and sometime overnight someone went through them. Nothing was taken from the cars they were just rummaged through.

6:49pm – Female was at the police station lobby with a lost boy she located who was walking on the Libby Road bridge crying. The child asked to be taken to the Police Department because he did not want to go home. The child stated he got in trouble at school and was going to get a spanking. As officers were speaking with the child when his mother called to report him missing. The parent responded to the Police Department to pick up the juvenile.

7:46pm – Auxiliary Officer at the Giant Eagle on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. reported someone trying to use a counterfeit $100 bill.  One female was arrested and charged with criminal simulation.

9:46pm – Two officers were conducting a traffic stop and noticed a 16oz can of Mikes Hard Lemonade located in the vehicle.  The driver was arrested and charged with driving under suspension and open container.

May 23, 2014

12:30am – Officer was conducting a traffic stop on Maple Hts. Blvd./Nitra Ave. and located the following open containers in the back seat: one 24oz can of Honey Brown Beer, one 187 ml bottle of Wild Irish Rose and one 200 ml bottle of Hennessey Cognac. Driver was arrested, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and cited for open container.

8:59pm – Male from Lee Rd. reported 2 black males breaking into vehicles. One wearing a black jacket with dreadlocks and the other wearing a gray jacket with a black hat.  Per the complaintant the males were in the garage, and when confronted, they advised the complaintant that they were looking for a place to relieve themselves. The males then ran off and were gone when police arrived. There was no damage to any of the vehicles in the garage. The owners of the vehicles were not home, so no contact could be made.  The complainant will advise the vehicle  owners of this incident and check for any damages. Nothing further at this time.

May 24, 2014

10:23am – Officer was conducting a traffic stop and discovered the driver of this rented 2014 vehicle had no license.  She was charged with no drivers license and arrested. The other party, who rented the vehicle, was also arrested and charged with wrongful entrustment.  The vehicle was towed and impounded.

11:11am – Male from Grills Tavern on Broadway Ave. reported a male and female walked past his landscape truck ,took a weedwacker and ran towards Bedford on foot.  Parties were located at Waterbury/Jackson, and the weedwacker was located to the rear of Dr. Z Amplification on Broadway Ave.   Both subjects were arrested and charged with theft.  One subject was also charged with underage possession of tobacco and underage possession of alcohol.

7:44pm – Female from North Blvd. shocked herself on a vaccuum cleaner and her hand is numb.  Transport was refused.
