February 10, 2014
10:40am – Complaintant from Willoughby Hills reported that his vehicle was allegedly stolen while attending a party on Stanley Rd. Keys to the car were taken from the complaintants coat. The vehicle was later recovered and was involved in a hit/skip accident where three subjects were seen running towards Broadway. No arrests were made.
9:42pm – Officer at the Giant Eagle on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. requested assistance with an intoxicated male who was fighting with him. The subject entered the store to buy beer and got angry when they tried to escort him out of the store. The subject was ultimately pepper sprayed and arrested.
February 11, 2014
3:07pm – An assault was reported at the Milkovich Middle School on Stafford Ave. The caller stated that someone got jumped and couldn’t breath. Three juveniles, two of which were transported to Bedford ER, were involved. No arrests were made, this will be an on-going investigation.
7:23pm – Complaintant states that someone threw an object through her Mountville Dr. window and broke it. It was discovered that a brick with a note was thrown. No arrests at this time.
7:52pm – Complaintant from Garfield Hts. reports that his 12 yr. old son brought home a crack pipe and crack that he got from his mother’s residence in Maple Hts. A search of the Maple Hts. home was refused. Drug analysis is pending. This is an on-going investigation.
February 12, 2014
8:44am – A home on Lafayette Ave. was broken into the night before. Items taken were a laptop, minimal cash and a car remote control. No arrests at this time.
12:05pm – Female from Clare Ave. stated that her wallet was stolen from her vehicle within the last 10 minutes. The complaintant left her car UNLOCKED while she returned to the home briefly. While she was in the house, someone took her wallet from the glovebox which contained her driver’s license, bank cards, food stamp card and money.
5:42pm – An attempted burglary was reported on a Forest Ave. residence. The rear sliding glass door was broken but no entry was gained. A shovel was found near the broken door and entered into evidence. Possible suspect.
February 13, 2014
11:11am – A vacant Pease Rd. residence was burglarized. The back window was opened and the copper pipes were stolen.
2:37pm – An anonymous male turned in a wallet he found on the street. The wallet contained money, State ID and some bus passes. Messages were left but to date the owner has never picked up the wallet and it was placed into evidence.
7:18pm – A vehicle was stopped on Broadway/Friend Ave. for failure to signal a turn. The officer observed 7 individuals in the back seat. Four were under the age of 15 and three were over the age of 18. The driver was cited for child endangering, no turn signal and four seatbelt violations.
February 14, 2014
8:21am – A call came in reporting a male walking through the backyard of a vacant residence on Jefferson Rd. and another male in a gray Chevy Impala who appears to be waiting for him. The two suspects were gone when officers arrived. The rear door was open and unlocked and there was no forced entry.
8:43am – A narcotics unit in the Mapleboro Ave. area reported gunshots. The gun owner claimed the safety on the gun is faulty and the gun discharged accidentally. An arrest was made.

2:34am – A disturbance in the parking lot of the Maple Hts. Police Department was reported where two people were having a verbal disagreement. While the officer was talking to the subjects, he observed an open Absolute Vodka bottle in the vehicle. A citation was issued for the open container.
February 16, 2014
3:11am – A traffic stop on Libby/Lee Rd. resulted in an arrest of the driver for operating a vehicle under the influence. An inventory of the vehicle produced marijuana and an open container with liquor. A citation was issued for both.
11:21pm – A driver on Broadway/Lee Rd. was involved in an accident with a Maple Hts. Police unit. The driver was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence and issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

2:21am – A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle on Libby/Henry St. The driver was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence and driving under suspension. During the inventory of the vehicle, 7 open containers were located. The driver was cited for open containers.
