January 27, 2014
1:36pm – Officer observed a suspicious juveline on Maple Hts. Blvd. who was ultimately arrested for daytime curfew violation (skipping school). A pack of grape Clipper Cigarellos was found on the juvenile who was cited for tobacco possession and his mother was cited for curfew violation.
3:18pm – 13 yr old Tokay Ave. student arrived home from school and discovered the side door to her home had been kicked in. A laptop and Kindle Fire HD were taken. There was no evidence left and no suspects.
5:10pm – An Apple iPhone 4 was grabbed out of a patrons hand by a 16yr old black male while at the Maple Hts. Library. Officers located the juvenile at Stanley and Raymond and retrieved the suspects hooded sweatshirt and the iPhone laying near a bush on Raymond. The juvenile was arrested.
January 28, 2014
3:30pm – The complaintant, who was home at the time, reported that someone tried to break into her Corridon Ave. residence through the back door. Officers arrived and tracked footprints for a few streets then lost the trail.
4:30pm – Complaintant reported that someone broke into his vehicle on Hansen Rd. sometime between 6am and 1pm. An ipod and cash were taken. There are no suspects.
8pm – A neighbor on Tabor Ave. reported lights on upstairs of a vacant home and footprints in the snow around the property. Officers discovered that copper was stolen from the home and personal property was thrown about.
11:04pm – Burglary to a vacant rental Clement St. residence. Copper piping was taken.
January 29, 2014
9:21am – Copper piping was stolen from a vacant residence on Edgewood Ave. Entry was gained through a basement window.
11:33am – The back patio door of a Corridon Ave. home was discovered wide open. Copper piping was taken from this occupied residence.
2:43pm – Theft from an auto on Franklin Rd. Vehicle was UNLOCKED and contained 3 gold/diamond rings. There are no suspects at this time.
4:02pm – Auto theft from residence on Cato St. Complainant left the car running to warm up and discovered it gone.
9:36pm – Theft from auto reported from Maple Hts. Lanes on Libby Rd. Vehicle was rummaged through and a bookbag, CD’s and other items were taken. Complaintant states that sometimes the door does not lock. No forced entry.
January 30, 2014
12:51pm – A neighbor noticed that a vacant residence on Pease Rd. was broken into. Footprints were discovered around the house and the front door was forced open. Copper piping is missing from the basement.
January 31, 2014
4:35am – Caller was working on this vacant residence on Maple Hts. Blvd. and discovered that the furnace had been taken while he was upstairs resting. Complaintant did not see anyone and did not notice any vehicles. There are no suspects at this time.
