January 6, 2014
2:32pm – A call from a 3rd party reporting domestice violence at a residence on Krems Ave. Two adults were arrested and charged with domestic violence and obstruction. A third adult was arrested and charged obstruction.
3:33pm – Theft of copper piping and a furnace from a Dalewood Ave. home was reported by the property manager. Entry was made through a broken bathroom window.
January 7, 2014
9:02pm – A McDonald’s employee reported a suspicious vehicle circling the restaurant, then leaving and driving towards Friend Ave. Officers stopped the vehicle on Friend Ave and discovered guns inside, one gun was reported stolen with Cleveland Police. Two arrests were made and subjects were cited for loitering and possession of marijuana.
January 8, 2014
5:28pm – Female reported that her cell phone was taken by 6 young men at the Maple Hts. Library.
11:39pm – While at the Prime Station on Lee Rd., an officer was speaking with a driver and observed a can of Bud Light and Straw-Ber-Rita on the back seat floor inbetween a passengers feet. A citation for open container was issued.
January 9, 2014
12:18am – Report of loud music coming from a residence on Glenwood Ave. The resident stated that the loud music’s vibration helps her back while she is laying on top of the speaker. A citation for noise disturbance was issued.
3:11am – Heights Hair Beauty Supply on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. was robbed again. Was last robbed on January 3, 2014. No arrests were made.
6:32pm – A report by a Watercrest Ave. resident stated that her son was harassed while walking home from a school bus stop on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. and Watercrest Ave. by a black male, in his 20’s with a goatee driving a tan 4 door vehicle with rust around the wheel wells and a sign on the drivers side door.
January 10, 2014
12:17am – A female from a Granger Rd. residence reported that she was being assaulted by a male roommate. The suspect was apprehended and arrested. A shotgun was recovered at the scene.
3:36pm – A vacant home on Thomas St. was vandalized and copper piping was stolen. Complaintant was at the residence to make repairs to the home. Entry was made thru a side window.

7:35am – A locked vehicle on Stockton Ave. was broken into. Owner of the vehicle was in the house, heard the car alarm and discovered the rear drivers side window broken and the door open. Several items were taken, no fingerprints left. Neighbors did not see or hear anything.
5:13pm – A female from a McCraken Rd. residence reported that the neighbors dog attacked her boyfriend they are unable to leave their house due to the loose animal. Responding officer sustained a bite from the dog and was transported to South Pointe. The dog is quarantined.
January 12, 2014
8:28am – An attempted repo on Rowena Ave. was in progress when the male at the residence tried to drive the car off the back of the repo truck. The subject was allowed to retrieve personal items from the vehicle and then decided to drive the vehicle off the tow hitch and into his back yard. The subject was cited for disorderly conduct, reckless driving and parking violation.
9:13am – A home on Mapleboro Ave. was broken into thru a back window. An X-box is missing.
5:12pm – Report of three large pitbulls chasing people into a backyard on Lee Rd. Officers were able to contain the dogs in the yard. The owner of the pitbulls arrived and took them home. A citation for each dog was issued.
5:24pm – A phone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle while parked in Wrap City parking lot.
January 13, 2014
3:32pm – A call was received from a Lee Rd. S. residence reporting the callers brother was unresponsive but breathing. The brother complained of not feeling well the prior evening and retired. The next morning the caller could not awaken the brother and later in the day discovered him unresponsive and on the floor. When officers arrived they determined the subject to be a doa. Nothing suspicious is evident and the coroner will conduct an autopsy.
11:54pm – A burglary was reported at the Speedway on Rockside Rd. Cameras showed 2 parties inside the station taking cigarettes and the cash register. The caller saw the same 2 males walking on Lee Rd. South and then heard a loud crash. The two were last seen running westbound on Rockside Rd. carrying something. Garfield Hts. K9 division was contacted for assistance. Search ended at a vacant residence on S. Glenn. This is an ongoing investigation.
