December 30, 2013
11:24am – Traffic stop in the McDonald’s lot on Broadway. Driver was arrested for driving under suspension.
4:20pm – A call was received from the subject’s neice stating that the subject (her uncle) has passed away at his residence on Arch St. Several (15) firearms and othe weapon related items were discovered in the home and brought back to the station.
6:21pm – Working fire reported in a house on James Ave. Probable cause is a space heater.
December 31, 2013
1:14am – A 911 hang-up call from a residence on Watercrest Ave. was received. Upon contact, the caller said her brother is going crazy and has a knife. The brother was arrested for domestic violence and transported to juvenile court.
2:40pm – Two people fighting in the Discount Drug Mart parking lot on Dunham Rd. All parties were arrested for disorderly conduct, failure to identify. One suspect was transported to county jail on a non related charge.
4:59pm – Four juveniles were observed short-cutting across the complaintants property on Arch St. and observed entering a residences down the street. Three juveniles were arrested for obstruction and one was arrested for possession of marijuana and pills.
January 1, 2014
1:19pm – Waterbury Ave. resident arrived home and discovered a window had been broken and the house had been ransacked. Entry was gained through the side door and various items were taken. No arrests were made to date.
January 2, 2014
2:42am – Teenagers at Wendy’s drive-thru on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. got into an arguement with the manager and would not leave. Officers responded and followed the vehicle to South Blvd. where the girls were staying. Parents of the teenagers were cited for curfew violation.
6:12pm – A silver Chevy minivan had pulled in the complaintants driveway on Shirley Ave. and proceeded toward the backyard, and did the same to several of the neighbors houses. Unable to locate the driver of the minivan at this time.
January 3, 2014
3:07am – Heights Hair Beauty Supply on Warrensville Ctr. Rd. reported a burglary. Footprints led from the business and ended at Raymond St. where the suspects probably got into a car and left the area.
6:03pm – Several calls received regarding a carjacking on Turney Rd. as was a call from a male stating he was just robbed by 2 men with a gun. Per a witness account, the males involved in the incident took off on foot behind Turney/Dunham Plaza. Garfield K9 and Bedford contacted for assistance. No arrests were made and the incident is still under investigation.
January 4, 2014
10:35pm – Anonymous caller from Waterbury Ave. reported two males standing in a driveway and an additional two males walking to the back of the house. Garfield K9 responded, rear door showed forced entry. TV’s, DVD, X-Box and a bike were taken. No arrests at this time.
January 5, 2014
11:45am – Officer on Libby Rd. heard 3 gunshots that was later discovered to be fireworks. A male subject was issued a citation and advised of the city ordinance on fireworks.
12:27pm Two 911 calls were received, one call was from young male who appeared to be playing with 911. The suspect also gave misleading information i.e. address, marital status and birthday. After an extensive investigation involving 5 addresses on Theodore St., another call was made and the officers were able to locate and arrest the juvenile.
January 6, 2014
2:54am – The caller from Granger Rd. stated that a female in a red Saturn broke a window at his residence. The Saturn was stopped and upon taking inventory, a partially empty tequilla bottle was found. The vehicle was towed and the driver was arrested and cited for open container.
