December 23, 2013

9:34am – While on a traffice stop on Mapleboro Ave/West Blvd. it was discovered the driver was in possession of marijuana and furnishing liquor to a minor.  The driver was arrested.

11:02pm – Caller came home to her S. Glenn Dr. residence to find her home had been broken into. It was discovered that no entrance to the residence was made, however a cinder block was thrown through the window.  Neighbors did not see or hear anything.

December 24, 2013

3:43pm – A passerby called and reported a Chevy Monte Carlo stopped in the middle of Libby Rd/Mayville Ave. where the driver is slumped over the wheel.  The owner of the vehicle was transported for a blood draw and arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

10:52pm – A caller from Hillgrove Ave. stated that there is a group physically fighting outside and guns are involved.  Two arrests were made.

December 25, 2013

6:07pm – A motorist called to report a reckless driver on Arch St.  The motorist had followed this driver on Libby Rd near Barona’s where they almost went off the road, almost struck a tree and almost drove on a tree lawn when driving from Libby Rd to Arch St.  The vehicle was located at Raymond/Philip where the driver was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence.

December 26, 2013

8:58pm – A beer bottle was thrown through a window of a home on Thomas St.

10:19pm – The caller, who was babysitting at the time, stated that a man was walking around the outside of the home on Camden Rd. (see next entry)

December 27, 2013

1:21am – The same caller, from the above entry, stated that someone keeps ringing the doorbell.  Garfield K9 was dispatched and located a male suspect on Clare Ave. who was taken into custody.

9:16pm – Report of males fighting at the RTA on Warrensville Ctr. Rd.  Suspect #1 was intoxicated and being disorderly.  Suspect #2 confronted suspect #1 verbally and then physically.  Upon officers arrival witnesses confirmed the incident.  Suspect #1 was arrested for disorderly conduct, intoxication and possession of marijuana.

December 28, 2013

4:30pm – Caller indicated that her boyfriend, who had been drinking, hit her nose which was bleeding.  The boyfriend was arrested and while booking, two marijuana cigarettes were located on his person.

11:37pm – A 13 yr old female was arrested when an officer attempted to stop the vehicle she was driving.  She refused to stop and ultimately pulled into her residence on McCracken.  The female was arrested for no license, fleeing and eluding and cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and not using the driver’s seat belt.

December 29, 2013

1:00am – Female caller indicated that people were fighting on Garfield Ave.  Three males were outside physically fighting while intoxicated.  All three were issued disorderly conduct citations.

2:27am – Garfield Hts. police advised that they had an officer in the area of E.139th and Mapleleaf who reported hearing multiple gunshots from the area.  Another call came in from a resident of Maplepark Terrace Condo’s who also stated he heard 6 gunshots, the caller appeared to be intoxicated.  The condo resident stated he saw someone leave Maple Park Ave. and get into an SUV.  The complaintant could not give license plate info, make or model of SUV.  No casings or evidence of shots being fired could be located.

December 29, 2013

9:00am – Three thefts from autos were reported from the apartments on Lee Rd. S.  All three sustained broken windows and various items taken.  The apartment complex has no surveillance cameras.

5:11pm – Female reported that someone broke into two vehicles at her Donnybrook Rd. residence sometime overnight.  Both vehicles had been left unlocked and in the driveway.

11:31pm – A call came in from a neighbor on Stafford Ave stating that 2 males just tried to break into the vacant house next door. Two arrests were made.

December 30, 2013

3:54am – A call reporting a person walking up and down driveways on Raymond St.  An arrest was made.
