December 13, 2013

8:02am – Report of a window broken out at a hair salon on Broadway Ave. near Farmer Jones.  Appears to be under construction, not able to determine if anything was taken.  Building owner was contacted.

12:52pm – Auto theft at Farmer Jones Market.  Complaintant left keys in vehicle.

5:32pm – Car Accident with injuries at Libby Rd. and Broadway Ave.  CEI contacted, supply line hanging over power line

December 14, 2013

3:15pm – Report of a black male in camo clothing going door to door on Tabor Ave.  Unable to locate.

7:33pm – While conducting a traffic stop at South Blvd/Jackson Blvd, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana from the vehicle.  The driver admitted to the possession of marijuana and consented to a search of the vehicle.  Two open containers of beer were found along with a marijuana cigarette.  Driver was cited.

 December 15, 2013

1:44am – An assault was reported taking place in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Libby/Lee.  A black male and black female were struggling in a silver Monte Carlo.  The female cut the male with a sharp object as he was trying to restrain her.

11:28pm – Complaintant on Sunnyslope Rd. reported that an R. Slaughter was pounding on a glass door and screaming.  The caller never actually saw R. Slaughter.  (see next report)

December 16, 2013

1:44am –  Complaintant on Sunnyslope Rd. called again to report that R. Slaughter was running around the apartment building.

8:09am – Neighbor reported a bathroom window broken out in a home on Beverly Ave.  Residence was locked up and secure.  Water was running inside the residence.  Water Dept. was notified.  Another neighbor reported that his ashtray was used to break the window.

6:24pm – Complaintant reported a young black male wearing a half black mask and a camo jacket took money from her while she was leaving the Sunoco station on Warrensville Ctr. Rd.

December 17, 2013

3:19am – Complaintant reported that someone was trying to break into her Waterbury home.  While investigating this call officers reported a garage broken into on Hollywood Ave. and items scattered on the lawn.  Caretaker for the house was notified and responded.

5:54am –  Complaintant reported that his vehicle was taken from his Gerard Ave. home on the morning of December 16th.

9:05pm – A young woman reported the following items stolen from her car: a Michael Kors purse, drivers license and keys to the vehicle.

December 18, 2013

12:06pm – Urban mining from a vacant home on Centuryway Rd.

2:17pm – Male suspect reported going door to door on Tabor Ave. soliciting gas rates. A citation for soliciting without a permit was issued.

9:29pm – Female reported that she was involved in a traffic accident and the other driver was fleeing the scene.  Officers were in pursuit of the vehicle which was not stopping.  After an extensive chase through Maple Hts., the driver was arrested and taken into custody.

10:24pm – Motorist was pursued by Maple Hts. Police and refused to stop.  A chase commenced with 6 units dispatched.  After a 6 minute chase  throughout the city, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

December 19, 2013

3:08pm – A call came in from the Mapleboro Ave. area reporting that a dog was attacking a female.  Another call came in from a  female stating that her daughter was bit by a dog.  A witness reported that an older model Cutlass came and picked up the dog, this vehicle was located at a residence on Mapleboro.  The owner of the pitbull dog was issued 4 citations and the dog was quarantined.

9:38pm – 5 arrests were made in connection to the selling and possession of liquor to underage persons.

December 20, 2013

11:31am –  Several calls from the Mapleboro Ave/Clement St. area reporting a large group of juveniles fighting.  Juveniles were dispersing upon the officers arrival.

3:03pm – A call reporting 20-30 kids fighting in the Maple Hts. Blvd./Hollywood Ave. area.  Groups in the area were dispersing upon the officers arrival.

December 21, 2013

11:36am – Male and female arguing in the parking lot of the Granger Court Apartments on Granger Rd.  The female was on the hood of the vehicle and at one point the male attempted to drive away.  The male was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

11:56pm – Caller reported that the driver side window of his car was broken while it was parked on the corner of Raymond St./Clampher Rd.  There are no suspects at this time.

December 22, 2013

9:29am – While an officer was on a traffic stop with a driver who almost ran him off the road, the officer located raw marijuana and a digital scale in the vehicle.  The driver was cited and arrested along with his passenger.

1:15pm – Complaintant indicated that she was a passenger in a car involved in an accident and said the other driver in a GMC was attempting to leave the scene of the accident on Warrensville Ctr. Rd./Raymond St.  5 minutes later the suspect hit the police cruiser who responded to the call.  The suspect then pulled into a driveway on McCracken Rd.  The driver was then arrested.
