UPDATE: A Jeep Wrangler that was stolen from D&M Motors on Broadway was found by Cleveland Police Department on September 25th (the same day it was stolen).
“Urban Miners” stole copper from homes on Dalewood Avenue, Franklin Road, Hansen, Clare.

5:42 AM An East 141st resident called to report a vehicle parked in his driveway and a male waking around in his backyard. The vehicle drove off toward Libby and was stopped at the Prime Station on Granger. Before the police pulled into the lot behind the car, the driver jumped into another seat and both “passengers” claimed the other was driving.
A member of the Carol Drive Block Watch Group reported an open window at a vacant residence. Plumbing was intact and the officers were able to secure the home.
7:39 A male kicked the door of a 5400 Dalewood Avenue home and damaged the screen door, but the interior door was intact.
11:53 An electric meter was stolen from a 17000 Libby home and a rear storm window was removed, but no entry was made.
Overnight an iPod and $5 in change were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on James Avenue.
A Rockside Road women observed a male trying to get into a neighboring vacant home with pliers. The suspect was doing work for the owner, but the police arrested him for an outstanding warrant.
Sometime between October 19th and October 27th someone broke into the garage of a vacant South BLVD home and stole a lawnmower.
11:23 PM Gunshots or firecrackers were heard in the area of 17800-17900 Maple Heights Blvd by two residents.
23:56 At a traffic stop 11.2 grams of raw marijuana was found in a vehicle and the driver had a digital scale in his pocket. He was cited for drug paraphernalia and procession of marijuana.

An Elderly caller reported that someone stole her bird feeders overnight. The responding officer found the bird feeders inside her garage. Caller forgot that she had filled them up and left them inside the garage.
4:12 PM Home Depot reported two fleeing shoplifters. Both were apprehended and charged with theft.
6:49 PM Two males were fighting in front of Giant Eagle after leaving a court appointed anger management class. Both were charged with disorderly conduct and their probation officers were notified.
7:20 Theft from auto on Steinway. The vehicle was left unlocked and a digital camera and some change were stolen.
Burglary to an Eastwood Avenue home. Jewelry and cash were stolen from the home. Police were able too take fingerprints from the scene.

12:39 AM Two Maple Leaf Tavern patrons were cited for marijuana possession and one was arrested for an outstanding warrant and cited for littering as well.
1:03 AM A Wrap city patron was cited for possession of marijuana.
5:44 PM A vehicle stopped on Libby Road bridge and the driver and passenger got out and started fighting. They were separated by a second passenger. The police charged both women with disorderly conduct. There was also a motor vehicle accident caused by a second vehicle that stopped to help. Traffic tried to continue by going around the stopped vehicle and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Burglary at 20100 Clare Avenue Apartment. Two flt screen TVs, a pair of 6 foot mirrors, a box of cell phone chargers and shoes were stolen. Entry may have been made through an unlocked balcony window.

12:20 AM A Mapleleaf Tavern patron pulled a gun on another patron and drove off. The police caught the suspect on Granger Road in Garfield Heights.
4:44 AM While assisting on a squad call a Maple Heights Police Officers observed a “green leafy substance” sitting in plain view on a night stand. When the officer asked the subject what it was he replied “Marijuana that I am enjoying in the comfort of my home.” He was cited for possession and the marijuana was taken for evidence.
4:25 PM Three juveniles threw a can at the windshield of a school bus while it was driving over Libby Bridge. They admitted to throwing the can and were referred to Juvenile Diversion for charges.
6:20 PM A Maple Heights Patrolman stopped a vehicle for a window tint violation, but ended up citing the driver for an additional 5 offenses: not wearing a seatbelt, minor not wearing a seatbelt, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
8:30 PM Caller reported hearing gunshots in the area of Mapleboro/Clement/Jackson.
October 31, 2013 – Halloween
12:57 PM A Jefferson Road woman observed a suspicious male in the neighbors backyard and noticed that a screen was broken in the back and called the police to investigate.
12:59 PM A male MHHS student was caught with marijuana at school.
3:22 PM Two female juveniles were fighting at the corner of Libby and Vine. Bystanders were watching and recording the fight on their phone. The juveniles who were fighting were charged with disorderly conduct.
A middle schooler was assaulted on his way home from school.
6:25 PM A 6 year old tick-or-treater was struck by a vehicle on Maple Heights BLVD and transported to Bedford but did not sustain any critical injuries.
7:47 PM Two juveniles in the crosswalk at Maplewood and Dunham were struck by a vehicle turning. The juveniles sustained minor injuries. The driver was cited.
8:06 PM A group of juveniles threw a pumpkin at the door of a Gardenview Drive home.
8:55 PM A group of juveniles threw eggs at a vehicle near Maple Heights Blvd and Clement.
8:57 PM Buglary Tabor Avenue home. The home had a security system but it was disabled. The police did obtain fingerprints which were sent to the lab.
