October 17, 2013

08:32 PM A pumpkin and a bale of  straw was stolen form a home on Rowena Avenue.

11:44 AM Entry was made into a vacant home on Anthony Street, but nothing was reported missing.

01:45 PM A women was robbed of her cell phone in front of Baraona’s. A male began following her and asked her to use her phone, when she refused he grabbed her from behind and took the phone out of her coat pocket and ran.

10:12 PM A CO detector in a Stockton Avenue home alerted residents to a high level of CO in the home. The fire department responded to take a reading and East Ohio gas was called.

06:01 PM The victim of an armed robbery on September 6th, 2013 saw the suspect at Convenient Food Mart. The suspect left Convenient and headed East on Gardenview from Warrensville Center. Police located suspect at Gardenview and Clampher and the victim positively identified him.


October 18, 2013

04:21 AM Burglary at Ohio Magnetics. One suspect was caught hiding in the bushes, a second fled the scene, but has been identified.

06:32 AM A Vehicle was stolen from the 7/11 on Lee and Libby. The vehicle had been left running to clear the frost from the windows.

October 21, 2013

12:06 PM A  purse was snatched from at the bench at the RTA bus stop on Clampher and Watson.

08:43 PM During a special patrol of Stafford park two patrolman found a male and female in the bathroom. The male had marijuana on his person packaged for sale.

06:48 PM Police secured a vacant residence that had been “mined”.


October 22, 2013

06:04 Structure fire in the basement of a home on the 5400 block of  E 141st Street.

12:26 PM Robbery in the Waterbury Avenue/South Blvd Area. Five witness reported that the victim was chased from a residence by 4 males who got into a blue Ford Focus and drove away. The police were unable to reach the victim at his home.


October 23, 2013

10:19 AM Burglary on the 21100 Block of Raymond. The burglars entered the home through an unlocked bedroom window and were leaving the residence as the owner was arriving home. The  police searched the area and were unable to locate the suspects but were able to get fingerprints.

During the day a robbery occurred on the 16800 block of Raymond. The burglars made entry to the home by placing a plastic lawn chair  under the kitchen window. A laptop, an iPod nano and a bunch of jewelry were stolen, estimated at $5000. Police took finger prints.

07:31 PM Cleveland Police found a 1992 Buick that had been stolen from J Roy’s Lounge on October 13, 2013 . The vehicles column had been peeled.


October 24, 2013

Burglary to a vacant home on E 141st. The hot water tank and furnace were stolen.

Attempted Burlgary to a Carol Drive home. Patio screen was cut, but entry was not made into the home.

9:19 AM A 20700 block of Gardenview resident reported a theft of jewelry.


October 25, 2013

05:09 AM While checking parking violators, a Maple patrolman discovered a vehicle with mismatched expired plates. The vehicle was towed.

9:22 AM A large tree fell across Raymond due to heavy snow.  The service department removed tree.

04:43 PM Attempted burglary on the 14700 block of Brunswick Avenue to a foreclosed home. There were drill marks on the door. Two “workers” had been seen at the home, but it unknown if they were legit or simply posing as workers.

10:19 PM Gunshots were heard  at Bel Vista Apartments. Police investigated but have no leads. Other persons,who were inside, claimed not to have heard the gunshots.
