DARE Park Re-Creation

Maple Heights Dare Park is getting a make-over tomorrow. If you live near the DARE Park, you know that it is in great need of some TLC. When it has rained, the merry go round is encircled with a muddy puddle, the swings and slide offer a similar promise of wet feet. The play set is covered in graffiti. Yesterday the stumps in the wooded area were ground out.  Tomorrow 25 workers from Cleveland Metroparks and Cleveland Clinic will stain the fence, paint the play set and place wood chips around the equipment. The paint and stain were donated by Home Depot.  Cleveland Metroparks is bringing the wood chips, and Friends of the Maple Heights Library donated $750 which helped to replace the broken tic-tac-toe panel. Afterwards the volunteers will be eating lunch at the Senior Center.
