Toddler Storytime

Date: Thursday, October 3, 2013 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Caregivers and their little ones 19-35 months are invited to share a program of books, rhymes, songs and fingerplays on Thursdays, September 5th through November 21st. Drop in!

Friday Fun Day

Date: Friday, October 4, 2013, 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM

Preschoolers, their families and friends, and childcares are welcome to enjoy storytelling, music and puppet shows. Registration requested.

Leaving a Legacy

Date: Saturday, October 5, 2013 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Unlike legal wills that transfer material possessions, an ethical will bequeaths personal values, reflections, traditions, advice and memories to loved ones. A representative from the Hospice of the Western Reserve will share ideas on how to get started.

Wii Monday

Date: Monday, October 7, 2013 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

TEENs get your game on earlier in the week! Students in grades 6-12 can join us each Monday afternoon for a different video game.

Preschool Storytime

Caregivers and their children ages 3-5 are invited to join us for interactive stories, songs, and fun for preschoolers and their families on Tuesdays, September 3rd through November 26th at 10:30 AM. Drop in!

Unite Against Bullying Campaign Bullying Prevention Kickoff

Date: Monday, October 7, 2013 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

October is national “Bullying Prevention” Month. Do you know what bullying looks like? Bullying comes in all forms, from mean texts to physical abuse. Join us in the community campaign to “Unite Against Bullying” with the following activities hosted by Councilman Richard Trojanski on: Monday, October 7th-Bullying Prevention Kickoff 6:30 PM, Tuesday, October 8th at 7:00 PM-Community Forum, Thursday, October 10th-Closing Ceremony with panel discussion and light refreshments served.

Reader Bootcamp

Date: Tuesdays, October 8, 15, 22, 2013 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Grades 1 – 3 Parents and Children who are struggling with their reading skills are invited to join us for a pizza dinner and a two part program of information and fun! For the first part, parents go separately with a Learning Specialist to learn tips for working with their child at home, while children remain with the librarian for fun reading based activities. During the second session, families participate together. Registration required.

Knit/Crochet Nights Winter 2013

Date: Wednesday, October 9, 2013 6:30 PM

Do you knit or crochet or have you always wanted to learn how?  Would you like to participate in charitable projects and connect with members of the community? Join us with your current project or new knitters/crocheters bring worsted weight yarn and size US7, 8 9 or 10 needles or size F, G, H or I crochet hook.  Wednesday evenings. Children accompanied by adult welcome.
