“Watch out for that… HOUSE!”

On, Friday, September 13th at 3:30 in the afternoon, a vehicle ran into the front of a 21100 Block  of Hillgrove residence, the home was not damaged (nor was it a home on a corner lot).

Lost and Found:

On September 9th, between 7:30 and 8AM two MP3 players and a radar detector were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a home on the 5100 block of Stanley. That afternoon a Maple Heights High School student showed up at the house with the stolen MP3 players claiming that he had purchased them from a Freshman and then heard through a neighbor about the theft.

A Dodge Neon was stolen from Granger Court Apartments sometime between 11AM Sunday, September 8th, and 8AM Monday, September 9th. The vehicle was recovered on McCracken Road and E. 128th Street, Garfield Heights with a damaged front end early afternoon on Monday. Arrests were made by Garfield Heights Police Department.

HOLLYWOOD

Two homes on the 5100 block of Hollywood were burglarized on September 15th, in the early afternoon. The first attempt was foiled when the owner walked outside and saw his computer laying in the front yard where it had been dumped by the thief. The thief then entered another home, but left the door open.  A suspect was arrested and his home was searched. The investigation is ongoing.

Gun Shots

There was an attempted murder on 20600 block of Hillgrove around 10:30PM on Tuesday, September 10th. The first caller reported hearing 3 gun shots and a car speeding away, the second called from the scene where the victim was found. The victim was life-flighted to Metro from Bedford. Bullet was found at the bottom of the front steps of the first 911 caller’s home. A blood trail started several houses down heading west and the victim was found behind a business on Warrensville Center.  The gun was found at 5137 Warrensville Center. The investigation is ongoing.

On Thursday, September 12th around 1:40AM a resident called reporting hearing two gunshots north of his 5200 block Anthony Street residence.

3 callers from McCracken/Clement area reported hearing gunshots on Friday, September 13th at half past midnight.

A resident of the 5100 block of Philip Street reported a bullet hole in the front passenger door of her car the morning of Friday, September 13th. The previous evening shortly after 11:45PM, when the resident arrived home, she heard about 4 gunshots to the North. She then went to bed.

If you hear gun shots please call the police, in the event that someone was shot, it is better for them to be found sooner than later.

An armed robbery occurred at a home on the 5100 block of Greenhurst at 11 PM on Friday, September 13th . The suspects, 3 black males, held two children at gunpoint.  The mother/aunt called the home invasion in 10 minutes after it happened.  The investigation is ongoing.

In the area around the 21200 block of Watson Road, on Saturday, September 14th at 11:30 PM, numerous residents called to report fighting and gunshots. One casing was located on the 21100 block of Watson. The investigation is ongoing.
