The Little Red Schoolhouse in Maple Heights

Euclid Beach Fun Day

Last Sunday, the Maple Heights Historical Society hosted Euclid Beach Fun Day. My family and I enjoyed a brief visit and experienced some of the old fashioned pleasures of the historic Euclid Beach. We also had the chance to visit the Museum inside the Little Red Schoolhouse.

The next big event for the Historical Society will be the Antique Car Show on August 25th. If you have a car to show, please contact Heather via email.

Big Plans for 2015

In 2015, the Maple Heights Historical Society will be holding one of the biggest event in 50 years, the opening of the 1965 time capsule. The capsule was buried in 1965 as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration for the Society. A planning committee is currently being created. If anyone is interested in being part of the committee, they can contact the President of the Historical Society, Heather Gyekenyesi. Contact Heather

Slight Correction: The Time Capsule was buried in 1965 on the property of the Little Red Schoolhouse as part of the 50th Anniversary of the city not the society. The year 2015 marks the 100th anniversary of the annex of Maple from Bedford. We are preparing an event to open the time capsule as well as celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Maple!
